Misunderstanding
Jack stepped out of the car with a heavy sigh, his shoulders slumping as he stared at the newly purchased vehicle. He glanced at the bright red silk ribbon tied clumsily around the rearview mirror—one of DL's last-minute additions that screamed anything but sophistication. For a moment, he considered pulling it off and tossing it away. But before he could act, he heard two familiar voices call out his name in unison.
"Jack?"
"Jack?"
He turned his head and found himself face-to-face with his two roommates, Samantha and Lena, both making their way towards him. Samantha's eyes widened in surprise as she noticed the red silk and the new car's shiny exterior. Lena, walking beside her, looked equally curious, but it was clear from her expression that she wasn't quite sure what to make of the situation.
"Did you… did you buy a car?" Samantha asked, her voice laced with disbelief. She circled around the vehicle, giving it an appraising look.
