"You're drinking again."
Rydel looked over at the new person. Raul brought a basket of fruit into his house when he went inside. Rydel shook his head when he saw Raul and what he was carrying.
"Do you have plans for the New Year?" Rydel asked as he drank some wine.
"Why? You don't have a plan, do you?" Raul asked, then went to the table and put the basket on it.
"Do I have to celebrate?"
"Of course. People care about the new year, just like they care about Christmas. You know there is new life and hope."
"Are you saying you're going to change?" Rydel still smirked.
"Jeez, I think we should have a party. We're still people, after all."
"No person is eternal..."
Raul said, "There is..." "You."
Rydel smirked but said nothing. He didn't stop Raul from doing anything he wanted in his kitchen. He still drinks because it makes him feel better. He thought that John was his competitor.
