The Perfect Plan But Not Safe

Due to the day's stress, everyone went to bed after dinner. Jody stood by the glass wall and looked outside at the Christmas lights. She hugged herself. She didn't expect Zev to hug her from behind.

"Love...."

"Hmmm..."

Zev put his chin on Jody's shoulder and then tightly hugged her.

Zev said, "I'm sorry for what went wrong earlier."

"That's all right, honey..." Jody said.

Zev took one of Jody's shoulders in his hands. "Is your shoulder okay?"

"I think so."

Zev put his face into Jody's neck and kissed her skin softly.

"Let's not make love..." Zev spoke quietly. "You will be missed."

Jody didn't speak. She just hugged Zev on the arm, holding her body.

"I'm glad it's all over," Zev spoke quietly. "Rydel is a serious pain in the ass, and I want him to stop."

"There's only one way to stop him, and that's to kill him," Jody said.

Zev pulled away from Jody's hug and faced her.

"What way?"
