HE MAY FORGET ME.

Chapter 12

Elijah and my father were acquainted before I met Elijah. I demanded an explanation from both of them.

"Your mother told me to tell you this, when you reached maturity. But it appears that you have yet to mature. I will let you know. Once you became more mature," my father said, glaring at Elijah.

I looked at Elijah, hoping he would tell me something, but he didn’t tell me anything; he simply left after my dad made faces at him.

What did my mom want to tell me? How should I get more mature? I let out a sigh. I don’t understand a thing. How my dad is still thinking of my mom If he still cares about my mom, then why did he marry this woman? and he even knows about Elijah. Is everyone playing me? I questioned myself.

After spending some time alone, I went to my room and saw Elijah lying on my bed.

"Elijah." I called him as he looked at me.

"I need to talk with you." As my father entered the room, I said.

"Hey, you!!!! Take my daughter to your world." He said.

"Why happened?" I asked him as he sighed.

"I will tell you once you reach that world," he said, and he gave me an empty book, which has been covered traditionally. He told me that he would contact me through that book. Even he warned me that no one should touch this book except me and Elijah.

I had many riddles around me. I don’t know when I will find my answers, but I know my father and mother have something to do with Elijah’s world.

"And never, ever touch my daughter without my permission." He said this and walked away without explaining how to get to Elijah's world.

While sleeping, I had the weird dream that I was going to my maternal grandmother’s house and attending a meeting at a school. And that school’s principal is a church father. While he is talking about the god, I see a black fog coming from his back. That fog pointed a sword at me. When that father tried to defend me, that black fog became a girl and sliced him with a sword. That fog girl turned towards me and pointed the sword so close to my neck and said, "I'm going to kill you and your family. If you don’t obey."

I opened my eyes in shock and found myself sweating a lot. Wow, it was a nightmare. I had a headache because of this dream. So I went out to get some fresh air. But I wasn't expecting to see that. I was too stunned to speak. before Madison could see me. My father closed my mouth and pulled me from behind.

"She-she is fucking the tree branches, Dad." while I completed the sentence. My father started to talk.

"I know. She is doing it for souls. which are all helping her out." He said.

"Why? Why? She is doing these things? Actually, what happened to my mom? How did you get to be this way?" I kept peppering him with questions, and he just sighed and said, "You'll know everything in correct time. Now you have to find a way to go back to Elijah’s world because this world is not safe for you."

"But how? I questioned him.

"Your marriage," he said.

"What about marriage?"

"If you try to change anything in that world to which he belongs, that world will try to adjust or replace everything back in its place. When Elijah returns to that world, he may forget everything. If you marry him here, you will get that reaction. Remember one thing, even though Elijah may forget you. That world is the safest place for yourself."

"First thing in the morning, let’s go to the church." My father said that and then left.

I went to my room and told Elijah everything, but I didn't tell him there was a chance he'd forget about me. In the morning, we all went to church. My father went to talk with the priest as Elijah held my hand.

"After we get married here, we will hold our marriage in my world too. No it’s our world now." He kissed my forehead.

He is overjoyed that we are getting married, despite the fact that we adore each other. I’m doing this marriage for my safety. Even after knowing the consequences of our marriage. After he forgets me, how am I going to make him remember me? How am I going to make him love me? How will I able to explain everything to him? Will he accept me after everything? My head was filled with a lot of questions. Should I stop everything? But I noticed Elijah was missing his world.

I sincerely sought the guidance of the gods in this matter. My dad waved his hand to ask us to enter the church. Elijah grabbed my hand and went forward to church happily. I’m getting married to my man, but I’m not happy.

When the priest asked Elijah to repeat the vow, he happily repeated everything the priest said. The priest then asked me to repeat my vow. I said as I turned to face my father. "I need some time." I left. I went to another hall in the church as I prayed for Christ. I started to cry. I asked him to help me. But time passed. Elijah came to see me by himself.

"I know, you are sad that you are going to another world and leaving your world behind. But trust me, I will do whatever it takes to take you to this world whenever you want." he said as I wrapped my arms around him and sobbed loudly at his chest.

I don’t know when I’m going to touch him like this again. Elijah took me in bridal style and looked at me with full love.

Before the priest could say the vow, I said it myself.

"I, Valentina, take you, Elijah, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy law, and this is my solemn vow. I'm not going to let anything come between us." I vowed as Elijah and I kissed.

While we were kissing, a portal opened like a blackhole and pulled us in.
