I really don't know why I decided to join this celebration when I totally wasn't in the mood for one .i looked at my hands,these hands had slaughtered thousands of lives both humans and beasts,I lived in agony,my shadow was corrupted even my wretched soul was but I couldn't die as I craved death like a man who thirst for water. i just wanted to be anywhere but not here in this damn gathering,this place was full of thorns,the people feared me ,feared what I was and I rode on that fear.The elders knew I was here just for appearances sake and so they dont lose their hypocritical face,bunch of fools those elders.

I sat on the golden throne and sipped my wine leisurely.The slaves maids my men captured from the kingdom sharii ,entered and stood before me .This elders were really stupid,ridiculous too.they all knew I wasn't in the slightest interested in women on days like this . My eyes flickered over them but came to stop at a particular girl ,she was looking around and her eyes met mine ,silvery green eyes that were so hypnotizing and beautiful too.i could not seem to take my eyes off her ,she radiated a kind of brightness in the hall.Then she giggled,her voice soft,damn the best sound I've ever heard,still I couldn't stop looking,everywhere went quite after she made that sound I know I was supposed to be angry ,everyone of them was expecting me to explode but I couldn't after seeing that cute look on her as her eyes darted around,suddenly I wanted to be alone with her,so I stood up and beckoned for her to follow me,not before dismissing the others first.i had taken a few steps forward before not sensing any presence behind ,then I stopped to see her standing still in the same spot like I hadn't just called out to her,I stared at her before she finally looked up at me confused. "What are you still waiting for I roared at her,"she jolted and quickly walked to my side.we walked into my chamber,I was fully aware she was very close behind me and she might likely bump into me,but I wouldn't mind though,which she exactly did.

Am so sorry,your highness,I really didn't mean to bump into you,she said with her eyes downcast . I didn't like the feeling I got when I saw looking down,I wanted her eyes on me,I raised my hand to help rubbed her nose ,I just felt the urge to touch her,and her nose was cute and endearing too ,then she looked up ,our eyes met,fuck! those eyes were a damn turn on,they were pulling me in and I couldn't resist for the first time,I felt such a strong attraction to a woman.i wondered if she was my mate?No it couldn't be,I wasn't destined to have a mate,Thinking about this made my face change and I then I was suddenly angry,I took my hands off her nose and stomped off .

My emotions were in total disarray but I wanted to keep her close nevertheless.i want to unravel the mystery surrounding her. I had stomped off in anger to my study room,hoping to calm down before I went back,but I just couldn't stop thinking about her and those eyes .They drew me in ,like never before,so mesmerizing,I just want to continue looking at her,I don't think I'd ever get tired,but then how can I be so caught up with her,I couldn't comprehend what was happening,this feeling,I didn't understand it.when I had calmed down a little bit,I went back to my room,only to find her sprawled on the floor sleeping,the posture was so cute,her hair had come loosed from the bun she had packed it in,it looked soft my hands literally itching to touch it.iI,m wondering if I had left for that long that she slept so fast,I looked out the window and saw it was night time already,I was aware I had gone to brood for that long,I signed,I turned back to look at the beautiful light lying on the floor and I bent to carry her to the my bed,so she'd sleep comfortably,she scrunched up her nose a frown marred her face,i wanted to clear those lines,I do not want to see her frown,I laid her on the bed and used my hands to smoothen her face,and I covered her with the blanket,I stayed looking at her for some minutes before I left,I clearly wanted to continue looking at her,I don't think I'd ever get tired of that but then I had things to do,and it looks like she was becoming a distraction and I certainly don't need that right now.i stepped out my chambers heading to the hall and I met my friend and also right hand man Tristan,we've been friends since a lifetime and this man had always had my back and save my ass and also clean up my mess most of the time.i trusted him with my life,I would have lost myself to the shadows if not for him.

"Your highness,I heard from the elders you took a maid to your room,how I come I missed that scene,am curious about the lady that caught the shadow god's eye".,Tristan said.i glared at him ,"it's non of your business Tristan".

"Oh please,you and I know it's my business too,what's going on Draven,this is certainly surprising though ,a woman actually caught your attention,how wonderful and sad at the same time,I pity the poor woman "she certainly doesn't know she had entered the devils lair,Tristan laughed"

"She's a mystery am trying to unravel",i Said to him ."Can I get the honor of meeting this mystery lady"?Tristan asked

She's asleep ,I answered him, later,let's get to the main business now,you certainly have a reason for coming to see me,not just to chit chat and poke nose in my matters right?"

Well yes I do,the elders are stirring up trouble again,

"Well then,let's go teach them a lesson,it's looks like the last warning wasn't good enough,"I will do a better job this time,"I smirked,those little minions always trying to cook and stir up trouble everytime.I'd like to see all of them squirm as I drill tortuous warnings into them
