The Desolate Wilderness

All Qin Yiling could see were the dry grass and the muddy road. She was surrounded by desolation.

Even the mountains in the distance had no green at all. The entire land seemed barren and bleak.

Within a thousand-meter-radius, there wasn't even the shadow of a single bird, not to mention any humans. Also, each time a gust of wind blew over, the surrounding air immediately felt cold and chilling–an inexplicable eerie feeling.

Qin Yiling shuddered and reached to rub the goosebumps on her arms, realizing then that she was still carrying the bamboo suitcase in her hand.

"Sigh…"

Looking at the sole suitcase she had with her, she sighed resignedly, feeling glad yet regretful!

The four suitcases that her parents had packed did not come with her and she guessed that they would probably be feeling troubled about it for a while.

Still, it was fortunate that the time tunnel did not restrict her path completely, giving her some leeway at the very least, such that her own suitcase managed to pass through together with her.

Otherwise, she would definitely have imitated the way her mother cursed, 'lousy system'!

Why was there always a bug in the system occurring randomly from time to time?

Just then, Qin Yiling seemed to remember something and set her suitcase down at once. She touched her neck, looked at her hands, then checked her pockets.

Qin Yiling picked up her suitcase and walked to the main road. She looked to her left, then her right, and immediately started to fret.
