Returning Home

"Runa, Daddy's back!"

After a nice home-cooked meal from Gabi, Rune and the girls departed from Mako's forge. They were back within Veronica's borders so the restriction on teleportation was no longer an issue. They were able to teleport straight to their base from the forge. 

Rune got down on one knee and smiled while spreading his arms wide as his daughter ran towards him, but the hug he was expecting never came. Runa dashed past him in a breeze and jumped into Luna's arms.

"Mommy!"

"Have you been a good girl while we were gone?" Luna asked, pulling the small girl into a tight embrace. Runa looked up into her mother's eyes and grinned with a nod. "Uh-huh. The maids have been helping me practice my magic, too," she replied.

"Where's my hug?" Rune pouted while looking over his shoulder at his daughter who had snubbed him. Runa twisted in her mother's arms to turn and look back. "Bad daddys who take too long to come home don't get hugs. Hmph!"
