Chapter Twenty Six: How to Kidnap a Demon

Jonah paced around the library while Nick sat with a pile of open books in front of him. Nick focused hard on reading the passages before him while Jonah mindlessly chewed on the Snickers bar in his hand.

“It says here that to gain entrance to hell as a mortal we need to open a door, a portal that demons use to travel. But if we want to do it without getting caught instantly we have to use a ‘river passage’. Whatever that means….” Nick’s voice trailed off as he continued to read.

“‘River passage’? Like the River Styx?” Jonah questioned with his mouth still full of chocolate. Nick looked up at him, slightly annoyed.

“Dude, we talked about this, chew your food. And sit, you’re making me uncomfortable. Read, help me search,” Nick barked. Jonah took a hesitant seat.

“The River Styx is a passage to the underworld,” Jonah repeated once he swallowed his bite.

“We are trying to go to Hell, not the underworld,” Nick replied, grazing through the book.
