Lisa's POV
I thought I would die, and I felt so happy that my forever guardian angel saved me once again. It seemed like Benedict would always be there for me. And when I looked at his handsome face full of worries and sadness in his eyes, I felt guilty. I know he doesn't want me to go to the river today, but Maya and I insisted that we should go, and now this is what we've got.
"I am sorry, Ben. I know I should have listened to you." I said as I caressed his face.
"Lisa, it is okay. You don't need to apologize." He replied as he kissed my forehead, and I suddenly felt so worried about Maya as I listened to the rumbling of the water. When I looked at the river, the water was still gushing violently, and the color of the water remained the same.
"How's Maya?" I asked as I felt so worried about my best friend.
"I think my sister is doing fine since the flood didn't go higher." He replied, and I relaxed a little.
