“The lobster was delicious. This was one of the best meals I have had” Zoe said honestly.
Everything had been cooked to perfection. Dylan knew his way around the kitchen and Zoe loved that about him.
“Are you going to be okay with people at the office knowing we are dating?” Dylan asked.
Zoe knew this question was coming, and although she wanted to say yes, she couldn’t. Dylan had already set her up with a job she barely qualified for. She didn’t want people around the office thinking that she was only there because of him. She wanted to be recognized for her talents.
“There is silence. That means your answer is no” Dylan said, sighing.
The last thing she wanted to do was upset him. But she couldn’t have the people at the office thinking she was nothing more than a gem on his arm. Especially not Margaret.
That’s when she remembered Margaret.
“I have two provisions,” Zoe said, smiling.
