Time To Go Back Home

"The Prime Minister has been arrested and it is said that he is currently held at the Military Base–"

"It is said that the Prime Minister committed an act of treason–"

"We can confirm from our sources that National Security found lucrative evidence against the Prime Minister and nine other officials of selling of Country M government and non-government secrets to other Nations. Apparently, he had colluded for coercion of impeaching the president and eventually murder him and–"

The TV was switched off.

Thunders of claps were heard immediately as people cheered. The Executives and Official Staff who had gathered at the President Manor. Finally. The nightmare was over.

A delicate frail man was seated at the head of the table. He had sharp eyes that made him look dourly handsome. Looking closely, a bit of skin was hanging. He was an old man. A man who had lived years of ups and downs. He had seen it all. He was the President.

A smirk couldn't help but form. He was so happy.

"Enough," the President commanded.

The people suddenly kept quiet.

"Let this serve as a lesson to us all. The country does not need traitors. The country does not need people in corruption,"

"Meeting adjourned," the President said.

He stood up and left immediately.

At his office, a lady was seated at the lounge area. She was wearing a halter assymetrical hem Bohemian sleeveless dress that was sky blue in colour. Her long khol-black hair was let loose. Her skin was white with a natural tinge of red that made her glow. Her face had was natural. The hazel nut eyes, the button nose, luscious eyebrows were just perfect without make up.

She was browsing her phone giggling over some stupid comments her friends were saying and graciously sipping her tea.

"So hard to recognize you when you are pretty," an old man's voice came in.

"Uncle..."Melissa dragged the name uncle looking cute

"I'm always pretty," she said as she went and gave a hug to the president.

"Ha! In those black outfits that you like to wear...," the President said as they sat down.

Melissa pouted making the President smile. Something that happens ones in a blue moon.

"Okay, okay. You are always pretty," the President corrected

"....and petty," the President continued.

"Uncle. You are messing with me again,"

"I'll stop messing with you now. Speaking of petty, do you know who is angry at you but mostly me because of risking your life?"

"Father," Melissa answered her voice filled with melancholy.

It had been few years since she had seen them. Four years. Four long years without seen the people that took her in, protected her, nurtured her abilities, trained her, loved her and now a family that adored her little ones.

She had been all over the world protecting the who is who of the society. The politicians, the billionaires, the multimillionaires. She protected a country, a city, the pyramids; everything that needed her protection. However, that did not come cheap.

She created her own security empire that was a few billion dollars. The Python, was the name of her company. The owner was a ghost. Only a few people knew who the boss was.

"The President of country K is going to create havoc if you don't go home this time," the President said seriously.

"You know how that old bag of bones Lawrence is like. Slightest misunderstanding and he will create a World War," he said.

"You are his only daughter. Can you imagine how that war will be like?"

"But uncle, I don't want to go back yet," Melissa said.

The President looked at her adoringly. He had loved this girl like his daughter too. He would have made him his daughter.

'Too bad that man Lawrence beat him to it,'

"You need to face your past if it comes on knocking at your door. You have never mentioned the family that hurt you—"

Melissa looked at him flustered.p

"–We will wait Melissa. When that time comes, you have a lot of people's support. You are not alone," the President said.

Tears filled her eyes. She was not that strong in front of the people she considered her family.

"It is time to go home Melissa. I would keep you here forever if I were as rich as Country K," the President said as his face mellowed out with gentleness.

Melissa laughed, "I will listen to you uncle."

"Good girl," the President said patting Melissa's head.

"And by the way, he also said that the two children should go back too," The President added.

Melissa rolled her eyes

"Tricks of keeping me in Country K. Such a petty man," she said.

The two laughed.
