C46 - The fifth Entry and Obadiah Stane!

~ With Luke, in his personal office in the cafe ~

It had been 30 minutes since Luke had left Natasha's apartment and came back to the café. As Luke sat on the desk chair, he reflected on the events that had happened after the attack.

'I haven't had the time yet to fully process my status here in this world. It was not too long ago that I thought this was all just a fictional world. But seeing all their worries for me, sometimes it makes me wonder about the infinite world theories back on my Earth.'

'If it is true, then this world is not some fictional Marvel Universe that was created by Stan Lee, but rather a reality that exists in the multiverse. So many worlds could exist out there like the DC Universe or maybe even anime worlds like Naruto or One Piece.'

'Then what of my original world? Is there a way to go back? Do I even want to go back there. . . Here, I have people alive who care for me. And not to mention that I have powers beyond what I could ever have back on my Earth. But back there, everyone that's ever cared for me have already left. If I do end up back there, I'd be alone again. . .'

"Arghhh! I don't want to deal with all these gloomy stuff." Luke said aloud as he slapped his cheeks. "What can I do for now though, there isn't many events that happened while Tony's still trapped in the cave."

'Wait, that's right. I can write about Tony. I know that Wanda is no longer in HYDRA's base now, and she came out too early. She might not have enough hatred built up to want to join Ultron, but I can never play it too safe. Guess I'll drop some bombs on the diary holders.' Luke mused as he figured out what he could do for the time being.

~ With Fury, in his personal office within SHIELD HQ ~

[I can't remember how many times Pepper had come into the café since Tony's kidnapping. It's understandable though, being in the office of your kidnapped boss must be very difficult. So, she spends most of her time here either with April or doing her work in my office.]

Fury had just gotten off the phone with Natasha and had wanted to check on the information that they currently had about the Abyssal Covenant. However, Fury was delightedly surprised when he saw that a new diary entry was currently being written.

[But the truth is, the atmosphere in Stark Industries is made worse thanks to the greedy executives. Although their stock prices are going down, this was still Stark Industries we're talking about. Even if their stock prices halved, they would still be the richest company in the world.]

[The media, the Stark Industries employees from the security to the Board of Directors, and the rest of the world all believe that Tony would not come back alive from this ordeal. Only Pepper and those close to her still held hope that Tony would come back alive.]

[Of course, I know what happens to Tony. But I can't just tell her that he'll come back and become the greatest superhero there ever lived. So, like April, I can only be a pillar of support for her during this period.]

'It would have been better if Luke had chosen to write more about the covenant or other enemies so that I can make preparations, but him writing about his daily life could give me better insights into his emotional state.' Fury thought.

Although Fury had sent Natasha to monitor Luke personally, he believed that he could gleam more into the matter from the way that Luke writes in his diary. For example, it could give Fury additional information for him to better plan out how he could further anchor Luke to their world.

Moreover, with each passing day, Fury was slowly getting more convinced that Luke would be an essential and important piece in preventing their world from going through the same situation that Luke's world had gone through.

As one of the diary holders, Fury knew much of Luke's personal relationships. This was one of the reasons why Fury had sent Natasha and Wanda to be around Luke. Fury had wanted to reignite these relationships in order to ground Luke to their world.

While it may seem like a dirty move, it was nonetheless a necessary one. Reading the diary, even Fury would not be certain that their world could survive much of the upcoming battles without Luke.

Not to mention, Luke was an experienced agent and also a member of the Avengers for over 10 years. Adding the fact that Luke had gained supernatural abilities since his transmigration, along with Luke's future knowledge from his world, the importance of Luke to Fury was self-evident.

~ At the same time with Wanda, in her room in the apartment in Los Angeles ~

[But as I am a pillar for her, she is a pillar for me too. It was not too long ago that I finally realized that I am on longer alone in this world. Pepper, April, Crystal and everyone else in the café has made me feel like I belong in this world too, that I deserve to be here with them.]

[Moreover, being in a company where she is the only one who believes that Tony is still alive, would have created a depressing atmosphere for someone as steadfast as Pepper. Even Stane did not believe in Tony's survival. So, I would be more than happy to be there for her until Tony returns.]

Reading the entry, a soft smile had found its way to Wanda's lips. 'I can't imagine what he must've been going through when he first came here. His whole world lost and destroyed. But at least now, he is no longer alone and have found people who he cares for and also cares for him.'

'But then what about me? Should I still intrude into this new life that he is building for himself? If I don't end up loving him as his Wanda did, wouldn't I just be a constant pain, a reminder for him of the one had lost?' Wanda had been thinking about her situation more and more in recent times.

She had already thought that she had steeled herself to be selfish and stick around Luke as she would need Luke's help to unlock whatever power she and Pietro had in the parallel world, and also because she was curious about Luke's relationship with the other Wanda.

However, reading about how much Luke had gained in his new life, Wanda had started forming doubts once again.

[Speaking of which, Obadiah Stane is someone that Tony considers as an uncle after Tony had lost his parents. Stane had just revealed in a press conference that he and Stark Industries are currently doing everything in their power to try and find Tony.]

[However, Pepper had told me that she knows that this was just a PR stunt and not something serious. Pepper had already seen the power moves that Stane was making to establish himself as the next leader of Stark Industries, even holding a significant number of shares in total.]

[In this way, if Tony doesn't come back, Stane would be the majority shareholder and would have a bigger voice in the company. But in my view, all I saw was a cowardly fox dressed in sheep's clothing.]

[Stane is the true source of many of the questionable sales of Stark Industries weapons, even the missiles that destroyed Wanda's family and many others in Sokovia, were approved by Stane and not by Tony.]

[Tony had always wanted to use his weapons as a means of defence or against terrorism, and he entrusted Stane with this, believing that Stane would do right by him. As such, Tony was unaware of the damages that his weapons were causing in the world.]

Reading the latest passages being written, Wanda had completely forgotten about her internal struggle regarding Luke. Instead, she was currently filled with surprise and shock about the new revelations that Luke had just revealed.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?! DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S IMPOLITE TO JUST BARGE INTO A GIRL'S ROOM YOU PERVERT!" Wanda yelled as she shoved Pietro out of her room.
