First Lieutenant Sanders gave them a salute and left for the security building.
"Um. Teacher Glib. Thanks for the ride and is there any reason for it?" Noel turned to Glib after seeing the lieutenant's disappearing figure.
"Yes. I wanted to talk to you two again about the matter yesterday," She looked at Noel first before turning to Liliath.
She observed the object that was only preceivable to her-- it was Noel's sphere. There was a change, a new crack. Liliath's condition maintained the same, it wasn't any worse nor any better.
"My apologies teacher," Liliath lowered her head.
"It's alright. Follow me," formulating a few theories on what caused Noel's condition to worsen, she led them to the counseling room.
There were two reasons for this. The primary one being Liliath's mental state. The second was on Elyja's request. She wanted to reconcile with Liliath. Which was a success.
As Noel continued on with the next letter, Glib narrowed her eyes at the peculiarities of Noel's sphere. Though the crack looked small on the surface, it went quite deep into the crust due to the refractions caused when two cracks meet.
However, Noel didn't react any differently. So Glib decided to not pay too much mind to it. After all, the cracks only represent mental wounds. It didn't directly affect the neurotics of an individual.
"I can't read this, what does it say Noel?" Noel showed Glib the letter on a weird blue screen floating in mid air, but she found the contents unreadable.
Noel pondered a little before replying.
"I don't think you should know.. but basically it's from Bleu?"
"Noel, remember to uphold your words," Elyja gave Noel some important pointers.
"Yeah. Yeah.."
"Take it seriously. It's Liliath we're talking about here."
Noel turned to Liliath, this caused her to turn away. Though there wasn't any particular change to Noel, Glib couldn't say the same for Liliath. She became more expressive-- to put it bluntly. Adding more sugar to their normally stale attempts to flirt.
Glib judged this to be Noel's doing. He managed to open up her heart to a certain extent-- was what Glib thought. Because of this misunderstanding, she now saw Noel in a different light. Putting that aside, It's obvious that the only person capable of controlling Liliath is him.
The moment something happens to him, things would get messy real fast.
"Teacher Glib, I would like to apologize to the class members," Liliath said.
"Hm? You want to apologize."
"I would trouble you to spare a bit of time in the pre-class period to bring up my case. Inviting me to speak my apologise."
"If you're alright with it then I don't mind sparing a few minutes."
To Glib, for Liliath to request that was a blessing. It would save her more than just trouble .
After the brief counseling session, Noel and Liliath left the room.
"We'll then, I'll be going now too Teacher Glib. Thank you." Elyja cleared the tea off the table and left the room.
After a few seconds..
"Nile, Brusq. Are you two still there?"
""Yes ma'am.""
"Watch out for Noel and Liliath. It's an unfair task but do your best."
"Got it."
"One more thing to note. I heard from Mimi that Kai's being excessively close to Lyndia. Keep an eye out for him too."
""Understood.""
Lyndia's TALENT was the ability to transfer wounds, which would've been an extremely dangerous combination with Kai. Just that— Glib never expected it to be exploited in a way she never thought was possible.

"Liliath. I told you not to kill."
It worked. First Lieutenant managed to stall enough time for Noel to arrive.
"Just ignore her already. She's not worth your attention."
"B-But she tried to kill you!" Liliath's roar reverberated in their soul, causing them all to shiver-- except Noel. He stood firm on his ground, totally unaffected by it. Glib was surprised.
"I'm sorry!" Lyndia yelled out of fear, her voice cracked.
"Yeah.. but to begin with, you should known that in the first place, my TALENT is the reason why I get entangled with all sorts of these stupid situations in the first place. If you want to take it out on someone, take it up on me… I'm sorry Liliath.. I'm sorry," Noel ignored her and said to Liliath.
"No.. It's not your fault.." Liliath voice quivered.
"It is. But I'm at least alive.. Liliath?"
Liliath embraced Noel. It was a heartwarming scene if not for the frightful expression on everyone else's face. Nobody understood what could happen-- anything could've happened.
Even the First Lieutenant could do little to hold down Liliath. He was breaking out in a cold sweat.
"Good girl. Um, Teacher Glib, Miss Tsu and Lieutenant Sanders-- I'll leave this case up to you.."
Glib came to when Noel called out to her. Something about Noel felt different. The way he phrases his words-- his temperament and the aura he gave off.
It was.. murkier.
"Huh? Uh. O-okay. And about your clothes.. I'll give you permission to return and change them. Liliath can teleport you to and from the apartment you're staying in, right?" Glib didn't know what she was saying.
"Yeah-- good thinking. Uh, is that alright with you Liliath?"
Liliath looked like she had nodded.
"Then expect us to be a little late for class later-- By the way. This is just my personal point of view but, Kai might be related."
A light appeared from beneath them. At that moment, Glib squirted her eyes to check one last thing. She realized something.
"And Lyndia, don't be too hard on yourself."
Light burst forth. In the next moment, all that was left were ephemeral shards of light. Then tension in the roof fell.
"That lady.. really. She's even stronger than me," the first lieutenant laughed in a self-deprecating manner.
"What exactly was that? She's so scary I didn't think she was human.." Tsu's words were mixed in with stutters.
"After she caused a code yellow a week ago, I went to check her data. You'd be surprised to learn that she's a demon. Quite a cunning one."
"I would've doubted your statement but I saw her horns with my own eyes so I can't deny anything."
"Glib, what are you going to do with her? Noel gave us his consent after all," first lieutenant looked at Lyndis-- who flinched at his stare.
Glib finally tore her gaze away from where Noel and Liliath once stood and looked at Lyndi--
Her sphere..
"Lyndia. I want you to be honest with me. What did you do to Noel?"
"N-Noel.. t-that. I tried to transfer my wounds. That's what I did.."
Don't fuck with me.. Glib swallowed those words down her throat.
"Can you elaborate further?"
"I transferred my wounds.. "
"Specifics Lyndia. Or do you want me to call your parents?" Glib treatment her. Rather— it was an inevitable outcome that would eventually happen due to the severity of this issue.
"N-no.. I-I tried to transfer my wounds.. mental wounds.."
"Mental wounds?" Tsu sounded surprised.
Glib clicked her tongue and held her forehead.
She didn't know if she was overthinking things or that this could become a serious issue.
Noel's sphere which had nothing but a crack to it before this-- was now shattered and deformed. With a clear black mucky dot in the center-- this was exactly identical to Lyndia's previous state if not for what she did.
Lyndia's sphere was now a clean slate. Those deformed parts of her sphere had been transferred to Noel. Left was a round clean sphere with a few cracks running along the surface.
Noel was the only person that could stop Liliath if anything happened to her-- but with his mental state now inflicted with Lyndia's wounds. Glib's worst fear was Noel experiencing a mental breakdown. It might not be today-- it might not be this week.
But if it happens.. it's obvious what would happen next.
"Lyndia. Why?" Glib couldn't contain her anxiety. Feeling Liliath's bloodlust first hand, it ate away a portion of her reasoning.
"I-I only.. wanted to test.."
"Take her away to custody? Miss Tsu is an eye witness right?" Lieutenant Sanders recommended.
"I actually didn't see it happen but.. I did see Noel pass out."
"No. We'll contact her parents first before making a decision. In the time being, you better prepare an apology for the one you hurt," Glib then turned to Lieutenant Sanders, "This is just my personal opinion but you may have to prepare for the worst case scenario if somehow Noel breaks down and Liliath runs rampant. That's the kind of situation we're in."
"If that's the case-- isn't it easier to just put Noel and the lady on house arrest? If something doens happen, we can avoid infrastructural damage."
"What!? That serious?! Then do I need to be stationed here just in case?"
"No. Remember? You have to sortie to California to deal with the incoming typhoon. Your flight is tomorrow morning."
"Ah.. that's right."
"We should be able to manage it here on our end. I don't command a troop of weakling soldiers that can't even stand a single girl. That would be a disgrace," he laughed.
Glib heaved out a sigh and leaned against the couch. What would happen to Noel? What would happen to Liliath? She could only wait to find out.
There wasn't enough evidence to rule Kai out as any sort of perpetrator in this case. Brusq and Nile did everything they could to find anything off about Kai and Lyndia's relationship but-- they only brought back nothing.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to.." Lyndia soft sobs resounded in the now silent room.
