Escaped Anomaly

Chapter: 34

March 13, 2011, 8:00 AM

Adrian sat before a holographic screen, a product of his technokinesis, talking to Elena. Her image flickered slightly, but her voice came through clearly.

"Don't forget about the meeting, Adrian," Elena reminded him, her tone serious.

"I won't, Elena. How's Sky doing?" Adrian asked, leaning back in his chair.

"She's doing well. The house is finally fixed, and she's excited to come back and visit you and Sigurrós soon," Elena replied with a smile.

"That's good to hear. We'll be ready for her," Adrian said, nodding. "Anything else on your mind?"

"Just make sure to stay safe. You never know what might happen," Elena said, her expression softening.

"Always," Adrian replied with a reassuring smile. "Take care, Elena."

"You too, Adrian," she said before the screen flickered off.

**Late Morning**

Adrian spent the morning training Sigurrós in the backyard. He watched her carefully as she practiced her abilities, guiding her with patient instruction.

"Remember, control is key," Adrian said, watching as Sigurrós manipulated a small sphere of energy in her hands.

"I know, but it's still hard," Sigurrós replied, her brow furrowing in concentration.

"You're doing great. Just keep practicing," Adrian encouraged her.

Suddenly, Xylaris, Sigurrós's baby pet dragon, flitted over to them, his scales glinting in the sunlight. He nuzzled Sigurrós's cheek, causing her to giggle.

"Hey, Xylaris! Want to help me practice?" Sigurrós asked, holding out the sphere of energy.

Xylaris chirped in response, his eyes gleaming with excitement. The little dragon seemed to enjoy being part of their training sessions.

**Afternoon**

In a different dimension, Adrian sparred with Yog-Sothoth. The vast, infinite space around them crackled with energy as they faced off.

Yog-Sothoth, in his humanoid form, looked at Adrian with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. "Ready for another round?" he asked, his voice echoing through the void.

"Always," Adrian replied, a determined glint in his eyes.

Yog-Sothoth's powers were vast: Time-Space Manipulation, Omniscience, Omnipresence, Immortality, Invulnerability, Reality Warping, Non-Corporeal, Acausality, Telepathy, and Causality Manipulation and all the other abilitieshe has from the other Other Gods. But Adrian was more than a match for him. Despite holding back, Adrian demonstrated his mastery over his abilities.

The battle began with a flurry of movements and exchanges of power. Yog-Sothoth manipulated time and space, attempting to disorient Adrian. But Adrian countered effortlessly, his Complete Arsenal providing him with the tools to overcome any attack.

"You've gotten stronger," Yog-Sothoth noted, his eyes narrowing as he tried to read Adrian's next move.

"And you're still as predictable as ever," Adrian replied, smirking.

Yog-Sothoth launched a series of attacks, warping reality around Adrian in an attempt to crush him under the weight of twisted space and time. Adrian, however, danced through the chaos, countering each move with precision and grace.

Yog-Sothoth's frustration grew, and he shifted into his true form, an eldritch entity of immense power and presence. The dimension around them trembled under the weight of his transformation.

"You think this will be enough?" Adrian taunted, his confidence unwavering.

The battle intensified, with Yog-Sothoth using his full arsenal of powers. He manipulated causality itself, trying to alter events to his favor. Adrian responded with equal force, his omnipotence and omnikinesis allowing him to negate Yog-Sothoth's abilities and strike back with overwhelming power.

The two clashed in a spectacle of cosmic might, each blow shaking the infinite dimension they fought in. Despite Yog-Sothoth's formidable powers, Adrian remained unfazed, countering every attack with ease.

Finally, Adrian decided to stop holding back. With a decisive move, he overpowered Yog-Sothoth, bringing the battle to an end. Yog-Sothoth's true form began to dissipate, acknowledging Adrian's superiority.

"Impressive, as always," Yog-Sothoth said, a hint of respect in his voice.

"Until next time," Adrian replied, nodding.

**Evening**

Back at home, Adrian relaxed in the living room, watching TV. The news flashed across the screen, detailing various events around the world. Just as he was about to switch channels, a breaking news segment caught his attention.

"Reports are coming in of a series of gruesome murders across America. Authorities are working to cover up the incident, but eyewitnesses report bodies found in a severely aged state, with some areas around the bodies covered in a strange black mucus…"

Adrian's expression hardened as he saw the footage. The images of the aged bodies and the black mucus were unmistakable. "Damn it," he muttered, recognizing the signs immediately.

"Adrian, what's wrong?" Mary asked, entering the room.

"An anomaly has escaped. SCP-106," Adrian replied, his voice grim.

Mary's eyes widened. "That's not good."

"You think?" Adrian replied sarcastically, frustration evident in his tone.
