Chapter Eight
At home.....8:05pm
Julia's POV
On phone with Ann*
"Hey Ann", I called immediately I answered the call heading to the parlor downstairs.
"Julie I want to say thank you very much for your help with Harrison. I'm very happy to have dinner with him and I wonder what I should do next after having time with him tonight",Ann said at the other end of the call.
"Oh nevermind it's my pleasure and um.. wait for his call", I told her as I sat on the armrest of the couch next to Juan whose eyes were glued to the TV as she chewed on marshmallows.
"Really? Do you think I should wait for his call?..umm.. alright I'll consider that too". "Thank you Julia, I really appreciate your efforts",Ann said.
"Yes, you're welcome. We'll get in touch then", I said and hanged up with a content smile on my face.
"Wow", I whispered as I into space until I felt someone's glare on me.
"What?", I said confused as to why Juan was glaring at me that way.
"You're actually talking..-",Juan began to say but I raised my hand interrupting her.
"Hey,hey,hey please, please. Whatever you want to say keep it to yourself", I said signalling her to scoot over do I can sit at the couch but she doesn't budge chewing on her marshmallows.
I decided to sit on her lap if she was refusing to scoot over and that did the trick. Juan was very annoyed while I found it very amusing.
"Julie I really dislike what you're doing",she said making me laugh my butt off with her grumbles.

At my office....7:30am
Harrison's POV
I was typing on my laptop when I heard a knock on the door.
" Come in".
Julie entered with some documents in hand as she approached me dressed in an orange business suit which matched with her orange pants with a white something as the inner. I think I like about her appearance is that she doesn't show skin and she's always decent . She manages to look extraordinary from everyone and I admire her for that.
"Sir please here are the documents", Julie said.
"Are they ready?
"Yes,um..sir please do cross check again",she said handing over the documents to me.
"Ok, it's fine", I said after I had crosschecked". She was heading for the door when I called her .
"Yes sir",she said when she turned to face me.
"Uh Julie. "What about Kovana Express?", I asked her wanting to be sure about them.
"Um sir, actually don't expect anything from them for now until next two weeks but I have sent the company's recommendations to Ann",she said.
"Right, but did she call to say she'd received it?
"She sent a message", she added.
"Ok thank you", I said dismissing her .
I called Ann after Julie left off to her cabin.
"Hey,how are you", I said when she answered.
"Amazing, yourself?",she asked.
"I'm fine..um.. I know you're very busy but let me say this very quick. I was thinking we can have dinner at my place tonight".
"Sure",she answered.
"Great. "I'd send the address".
"Alright", she said and I could sense her giddiness.
"Alright,bye", I said then hanged up and called my cook.
"Ms Carrington, I'd be having a guest at my house for dinner, make something nice. Alright see you soon", I told her and hanged up continuing my work".

At my house....7:00pm
I came down after Julie helped the cook set the table.
"Are we good?", I asked Julie.
"Good sir,the cook did a great job",she asked after she was done table setting.
"That's great", I said after a knock came at the door.
"Uh.. I think she's here,I'll get the door and leave. See you next week sir", she said.
"Sure,see you, thank you".
"Have a nice day",she said heading towards the door.
"Alright.
"Hey Ann, he's waiting for you", I heard Julie say at the door.
I turned towards the door to find Ann smiling at me dressed up in a black bodycon dress clinging to her body like second skin.
"Hello Harrison",she said approaching me.
"Hey,shall we? This way",directing her to the diner , pulling out a chair for her to have a seat.
"You always look hot and handsome, what's your secret?",she suddenly asked out of the blue. Well I didn't know how to answer to that since I had no secret so I just shrugged and fetched some food out of the dishes line up on the table serving her with hers first before mine.
"Yummy, this looks delicious. Thank you for making these. I could eat these everyday",she said doing all the talking and praising the hand that made the meals.
"My cook made these,you should thank her", I said smiling after taking in a piece of my steak

At home.....9:00pm
Julia's POV
Julia and I were seated on the couch with our eyes glued to the TV watching one of our favorite Netflix movies "Squid Game" when Ann called.
"Hi Julie, I was able to have a successful dinner with Harrison thanks to you",she said giddily.
"Wow!,wow congratulations!". " I'm happy for you . That's nice, alright then", I exclaimed happy for her.
"Thank you for everything",she said
"Yes my pleasure. Goodnight Ann", I said and the call ended
with a smile on my face.
"Such a lucky girl", I said as I shook my head .
"Who was that?",Just asked with her brow raised.
"Ann. Juan guess what? Harrison has asked her out for dinner.
"Ugh! I'm still trying to understand this but still can't get the fact on why you don't liy your boss",Juan said
"What?
"You're trying to mess his life up, are you aware of that?",Juan asked irritatedly as she blinked a her continuously at me like I was the unbelievable one .
"No, I don't understand.
"Look everything you're telling this girl's wrong. "It's uncalled for. "Do you get that? You're in the best position to be doing all this because you know him better. "You understand him better. For goodness sake Julie shoot your shot". "What is wrong with you? "Do you hate him?",she asked
"Juan I don't hate him but I just dislike a lot of things he does,like why should I knock on his door every morning for him to wake up. "Why does he has to be wretched? I know ladies can do too much and he's a human being he's not perfect. It doesn't make sense", I said.
"My God! What the heck are you saying,huh?!",Juan exclaimed wide-eyed making me fling .
