The Other Hakavies
Max was strong, but he wasn't dumb, he was already damaged from the previous fight with the Hakavie, and although he emerged victorious in the end, fighting more of these guys would be hard.

Judging by the footsteps, there were around three of them coming, maybe to check up on their companion.
"Human, that was incredible-" Laufen got out of her hiding spot, amazed by Max's prowess in single-handedly killing one of the strongest monsters in the Ebonwood forest.
But he immediately cut her off.
"Go back to your hiding spot now," he looked at her with his bloodied face, and she gulped in response.
"Why?"
"More are coming," his answer was short and to the point, and hearing his words, Laufen immediately shivered.
The human had struggled to kill this one, and yet you are telling me more of them are coming?
