Chapter 2 - Unconscious

The crowd gathered around them quickly, not giving a chance to move at all. Luckily, the securities in the lobby reacted quickly.

"Give them personal space! Move a little bit further please!", The security said to the crowd.

The crowd didn't listen until HyeJin shouted bravely, "CAN YOU GIVE US SOME SPACE TO MOVE? DO YOU GUYS HAVE MANNERS?"

The crowd immediately moved away, and some people started to talk about HyeJin, "Who the hell is this woman?! Why is she shouting impolitely to us like this?"

"CHOI YEONWOO!! LOOK AT THIS WAY!!", A paparazzi shouted.

The man looked uncomfortable but acted as if everything was alright. He waved and bowed to everyone in the crowd who followed him until he entered the van.

"Choi Yeonwoo? Who is he?", HyeJin asked.

"How do you don't know him?! Have you been living under a rock?", Haruna asked.

"Nope, but I've been very busy with our comic's last few volumes lately, I didn't have time to check the social media.", HyeJin said.

"Choi Yeonwoo is a top tier artist! He's very handsome and polite! He's also very multitalented~ I know that I might meet him somewhere and talk to him someday~!", Haruna exclaimed happily.

"You hallucinate too much!", HyeJin said while slapping Haruna's back lightly.

After arriving in their studio, HyeJin continued to make more proposals for the animation opening. She threw many papers away because she wasn't satisfied with her own work.

"I can't succeed if I keep drawing low quality artwork like this. I should keep trying until the end!", HyeJin thought.

Haruna saw her having a breakdown, so she came to her to cheer her up and tried to help her.

"HyeJin, don't push yourself too much, please rest so that you can come up with a better result. Otherwise, let me help you. I'm sure that we can finish this together.", Haruna said.

"No, it's fine. I'll prove to Mr. Kim that I can do better than him! I'll make 2 more proposals and I'll rest afterward. Don't worry.", HyeJin said.

"You don't have to make more. This is enough to satisfy Mr. Kim! I'm sure that you can prove your skills with your current proposals.", Haruna said.

"No, it's not enough. Mr. Kim is a perfectionist, who complains about every single small mistake we make. I must finish more proposals by today.", HyeJin said persistently.

After finishing all the proposals, she went to the Seoul Animation building and met the mysterious man in the lift, Choi Yeonwoo.

"Is he the one who's gonna be singing for my animation opening?", HyeJin wondered.

Soon, Yeonwoo left the lift and talked to Naoyuki. The two seem close as if they were friends for a long time.

After noticing HyeJin's presence, Naoyuki left Yeonwoo and talked to HyeJin to receive HyeJin's proposal. He immediately handed the proposals to Jisoo, so that Minho could look into them after his meeting. After the meeting ended, Jisoo gave Minho the proposals done by HyeJin. He skimmed through the proposals and started to complain.

"Are you sure that this is all the proposals the artist has done? She made many silly mistakes everywhere!", Minho complained.

"I don't have time to keep reading silly proposals from you all! MAKE IT DONE PROPERLY AND I'LL READ IT AFTER YOU FINISHED IT RIGHT!", Minho shouted.

"I'm sorry for the mistakes, Mr. Kim.", Jisoo said.

Jisoo left Minho's office and told Haruna and Naoyuki about the results.

"Ms. Lee, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but Mr. Kim rejected all of your proposals. He said that you made silly mistakes in every single part of the proposal. He wanted you to finish it as fast as possible", Jisoo said.

"Don't worry, Miss. Lee. I'm sure that you can complete the proposal by today.", Naoyuki said.

HyeJin returned to her studio, some staff gathered and asked about the progress of the animation.

"Did Mr. Kim approve your proposals?", Haruna asked.

"No, he complained about everything, and now he told me to finish everything by today! Isn't he insane?! It's impossible to finish everything today!", HyeJin complained.

"Is it that hard to make an animation adaptation to a comic? Our proposals keeps getting rejected!", A staff member said.

"I'm sure that it's for our good, he wants the animation to have a perfect outcome so that our animation will be viral. Just endure it for now.", Haruna said.

The staff were upset, so they went back to work.

"But–", HyeJin said.

"Don't worry, I'll be going to the convenience store to buy you snacks and coffee. Fighting!", Haruna cut HyeJin's sentence and left the studio.

HyeJin overslept when she was working on the proposals, which got her in trouble.

"HyeJin! HyeJin!! Wake up!! You have not much time left to submit the proposals!!", Haruna said while shaking HyeJin's body aggressively.

"D-DID I JUST OVERSLEPT?!", HyeJin shouted in panic.

"YES, NOW WORK ON THE PROPOSALS BEFORE MR. KIM REJECTS IT AGAIN!", Haruna shouted.

"S***!! I'm in trouble!", HyeJin said while working on the proposals again.

"You are in trouble! You must finish this before this evening, we should satisfy Mr. Kim!", Haruna said while putting a can of coffee and a kimbap on her desk.

"You can do it!", Haruna continued while leaving her.

After completing the proposals, HyeJin rushed into the Seoul Animation building and handed the proposals to Naoyuki so that he could check them before submitting them to Minho. He nodded to HyeJin and submitted the proposal to Minho.

Minho skimmed through the proposals and smirked. Then, he told everyone to prepare a meeting immediately.

"Tell the storyboard team and the artists to come, this is an important meeting.", Minho said.

"Ok, Mr. Kim. I'll be waiting outside." Naoyuki said.

After exiting Minho's office, she instantly told HyeJin about the good news.

HyeJin instantly called Haruna to tell her the news.

"HARUNA, MY PROPOSALS GOT ACCEPTED BY MR. KIM!!", She exclaimed happily.

"REALLY?! I TOLD YOU THAT YOUR HARD WORK WILL SATISFY HIM! I CAN FEEL IT!!", Haruna said proudly.

"Anyway, go to the Seoul animation building now! We will have an important meeting about this.", Haruna said.

"Okay, I'll be there as fast as possible, don't worry.", Haruna said while ending the call.

HyeJin sat on the steel chair in front of Minho's room, in the middle of a long corridor consisting of office rooms of the executives. While waiting for Haruna, Naoyuki was told to enter Minho's office.

Soon, she could hear Minho shouting at Naoyuki, complaining about his work performance, "ARE YOU DUMB? WHY CAN'T YOU MAKE THIS SIMPLE THING PERFECTLY?! USE YOUR GOD D*** BRAIN!!".

As soon as he exited his office, HyeJin asked, "Do Mr. Kim shouts like this to you every day?"

"Hahaha... Yes, he has always been like that.", Naoyuki said.

"It's amazing that you can bear his temper! If I were you, I might fight back and quit the company! Hahaha.", HyeJin said to cheer him up.

"Haha thank you, Miss Lee.", Naoyuki said while smiling brightly.

"Does Mr. Yamada smile like this every time? His smile is something.", HyeJin thought.

They held a meeting with the producer, artist, and the storyboard team afterward. They discussed the theme of the song and the concept of the opening. And agreed to produce the music in a short time.

"Congratulations on the approval, Ms. Lee.", Naoyuki said.

"It's nothing without you, Mr. Yamada. I'm grateful to have you as our editor.", HyeJin said.

"It's nothing. You did most of the proposal. I just handed the proposals to Mr. Kim.", Naoyuki said.

"By the way, Mr. Yamada, are you free tonight? We would like to invite you to dinner in a popular Korean Barbeque shop.", HyeJin said.

"Yes, I'm free tonight. What time will we meet up?", Naoyuki asked.

"It'll start at 8 PM. It'll be just me, Haruna and you to celebrate the debut of our animation. Moreover, it's a treat for you since you have helped us through a lot of hardships.", HyeJin said.

"Okay, I'll be there. Thank you for the treat too!", Naoyuki said.

In the restaurant, Haruna complimented Naoyuki, "I think that Mr. Yamada is a very nice man, he's very kind, good-looking, and dedicated! I never met this type of man before in my life."

"You have a crush on Mr. Yamada, don't you?", HyeJin teased Haruna.

"How is that possible! I barely interact with him hahaha! Don't you think that he's an ideal boyfriend though?", Haruna asked.

"Well, he has a lot of patience, especially when he is facing Mr. Kim. Moreover, his smile is very unique! To be honest, I like his smile.", HyeJin said.

"See! You seem to have a crush on him! If you like him, you should try to date him. He's a pretty nice guy with good visuals!", Haruna said.

Suddenly, Naoyuki sat next to the girls and said, "Hello! Seems like you guys have a very interesting topic over here. What are you talking about?"

"Ah, it's nothing Mr. Yamada.. Hahaha.", HyeJin said while smiling awkwardly.

"Really? It seems like you're talking about some interesting topic haha. Sorry to interrupt your conversation by the way.", Naoyuki said.

"It's fine! By the way, I've ordered some bottles of Soju. Let me pour you a shot.", HyeJin said.

They ate and drank so much that Naoyuki and HyeJin got drunk.

"You know what.. When I met Jimin and Minho for the first time… I thought that it was a miracle..", Naoyuki blabbered.

"Is it because... they helped you?", HyeJin asked.

"Hahaha… Yes… Moreover, their personalities are beyond my th-", Naoyuki said before puking.

"Mr. Yamada is drunk, how can we send Mr. Yamada home? You must've given him too many shots!", Haruna said.

"Hehehe... I thought that he likes drinking too!", HyeJin said.

"Please call Jimin for me... His number is on my emergency contacts..", Naoyuki said before he passed out.

"Oh lord, Mr. Yamada, and HyeJin passed out together!", Haruna said while trying to call Jimin.

Jimin instantly picked up the call, "Hello, My-"

"Hello, Mr. Han, Mr. Yamada passed out in the Korean Barbeque restaurant. I will send you the location through chat.", Haruna said instantly after the call was connected.

"Naoyuki passed out? Okay, I'll be there as fast as possible.", Jimin said in a hurry.

A few minutes later, Jimin arrived with his sports car. He was still wearing his office attire, with the executive pin on his chest.

"Let me help him to enter the car. Please help me to bring his things into the car, Ms. Takaaki.", Jimin said while grabbing Naoyuki's arm.

"Okay. By the way, thank you for driving Mr. Yamada home.", Haruna said.

"It's late, do you guys need a ride? I can drive you home too.", Jimin said.

"Oh, it's all right, I can take a taxi after this. HyeJin will be staying with me tonight, don't worry.", Haruna said.

"Okay then, see you next time.", Jimin said while leaving.

Haruna brought HyeJin to her house. However, she puked on her favorite blanket.

"H-HYEJIN!! DON'T PUKE THERE! PLEASE!", Haruna shouted.

"Ahh..", HyeJin said.

"Oh, lord... I should pay up for extra cleaning fees tomorrow..", Haruna sighed.

"I-I… will… p-pa…y you… tom-", HyeJin said before puking again.

"You don't need to pay me tomorrow, now you need to clean yourself up first. Here, I got you some drugs to handle the drinks you've drank.", Haruna said while giving HyeJin the drugs.
