In theory, the civil war came to an end.
But that was only the theory, not the true way the situation was right now.
Sure, the main players achieved their purposes and now sat down on whatever they've gained to slowly absorb new lands into their domain, re-establish the trade routes and local connections, impose new administration, and then introduce new reforms…
But as soon as one strayed beyond the lands controlled by the top three, maybe the top three new powers of the emerging eastern continent, the situation rapidly took a turn for the worse.
The lands under the control of the former free duke, Leonidas' adoptive father, were no different. The only reason why life continued more or less as it was, was because of the grace period the duke insisted on introducing, giving everyone the time to get used to the new reality first before introducing any major changes.
