Chapter no.78 A Daunting Battle Begins

[ POV Change ]

As I walked through the meadow, the tall grass brushing against my legs, I couldn't help but feel the tension in the air.

Nayara, walked beside me, her gaze fixed on the ground.

The silence between us was deafening, broken only by the occasional rustle of the wind through the grass.

Atop my head, my brushsquirrel companion busied itself grooming its long, brush-like tail. It used its tiny paws to comb through the hairs, seemingly oblivious to the awkwardness between Nayara and me.

Desperate to break the silence, I turned to Nayara and asked,"So, how did the astral world look like to you?"

My voice cracked slightly, betraying my nerves.

Nayara hesitated before answering, "It looked like a desolate labyrinth with mirrors." She avoided my eyes as she spoke, her voice barely audible.

"Well, Master Viracocha told me that the astral world takes the shape of of true self."

"I figured that out in the astral world."

" Wow, that's impressive."

" Thanks."
