Chapter 6

I didn't look back for even a single moment as I ran for my life,i could still feel a cold chill on my back, i ran for a good mile before i could hear Clarke and the others .

I couldn't help but smile, they really did wait for me, or they might have just gotten tired And stopped midway. As I got closer to them,I saw they raised their guard, probably expecting to meet with whoever they thought I was fighting.

once they saw me, they immediately lowered their guards.

"Alex!" 

Clarke hugged me, along with the others, it was a good feeling, it's good to be remembered, I didn't know that.

"I thought they got you, and captured you, how were you able to escape?, and who were they?" she asked me a ton of question, she was anxious, I raised my hands and she went quite, she understood my gesture.

Finn, who was standing beside me gave me the water bottle as I drank from it and thanked him. Seriously! This dude always knows what I want, perhaps he has the ability to read minds or something.

"How about we discuss it as we move, we don't wanna be caught by them, trust me on that." - I said.

Clarke and the others nodded as well, we started walking again, all the while I kept the spear ready to strike out at any moment,from what I have seen and experienced ,those guys are great ambushers, so maybe they have set up some kind of trap.

I checked up on the trees from time to time, and tried to stay alert to potential dangers.

"So Alex, what are they?" - asked Clarke

"They are humans like us, but I guess they might not speak our language, or even if they do, they don't talk much, more of the kill first kind of people" I said.

"you mean humans! Like actual living humans are on the planet." - asked Clarke

"yeah."

"apparently they think we have trespasser into their territory." said Finn

"I mean, we were celebrating just fine until they attacked us once Alex crossed the river," continued Finn.

I couldn't help but nod, this was probably true, maybe it was really such a thing, humans had always been territorial and greedy.

"Does that mean we are at war?!" Asked Jasper

"I don't think so, but it's better to keep out eyes and ears open,although they are only human like us, they know this place better then us,they have the number, strength and the manpower to f us up"

"we have to tell everyone back at the camp about this" Clarke hurriedly said as she started to increase pace.

"Don't rush it, who knows if they will even listen to us" I said to her

"what do you mean?" she asked with seriousness

"sigh, tell me, what would you do if one day suddenly there was no rules and regulation and you could do whatever you want without any responsibility, you will become ignorant and arrogant" I said.

Clarke shook her head,"we still need to tell them"

"I didn't say we shouldn't tell them,I only said that it wont matter if you did"

"what exactly are you trying to say" Clarke said, as she turned around

I could see the naivety in her eyes

"I am saying they are just kids who don't know what's better for them"

"and aren't you a teen as well, Mr Alex" Said Octavia with that same old sass in her voice, it really annoyed me, I really wanted to make them shut the hell up

Huh!!

'why am I so angry ,don't tell me that' I couldn't help but think of the worst as I looked at everyone.

Maybe one of them is the anomaly, No! That can't be right, if that was true , it would mean that I should have become annoyed right from the start if the journey, is the effect delayed?.

At this moment I head the sound of distant shouting

'so that's what it is,thankfully I won't have to end any of them, these are normal people,I am just getting annoyed the more closer to the camp I get.'

Clarke hurriedly ran towards the camp and I followed her.

we ran for a while before we came across a fight, Wells had a knife around a kid , who looked like third class copy of the joker.

probably one of the kids who can't do much in life and can only boss around those who are weaker than them but don't have the guts to take on the challenges and responsibilities  of life.

"Wells! let him go" yelled Clarke, clearly this girl is blind, 

Wells, hearing Clarke let the kid go who then turned around and was about to stab him when I threw my spear as it landed between him and Wells.

The whole crowd became silent at this moment.
