Chapter 30: Tomorrow!

(Authors Note:

Aight here is the Powerstone chapter, next update will be on Monday.

I am still deciding whether to go to Danmachi as the second world or not.

Think author, think.)

(Dante POV)

"Onii-chan, what do you mean by 'it's just you'?" Mari asked in a sweet yet monotone voice.

"Are you despising me or something? What did your cute little sister do to you?" Her voice continued to drop, sending a chill down my spine.

"No? What are you saying? No one could despise the adorable Mari-chan, especially since you're also Ayame-chan, who a lot of weebs adore." I coughed before replying with a tone suggesting I had no idea what she was talking about.

With a fake sincere tone, I then added, "Anyway, you should continue talking about the reason you called. I know my cute little sister is busy, and as a good Onii-chan, I don't want to bother you that much."

Silence followed; she did not reply, leaving me holding my phone.

After a few seconds of the silent treatment, I couldn't bear it and called out to my little sister, "Mari-chan?"

"Sigh, kay fine. Not like I expected much from you anyway. Stupid Onii-chan." With a slightly tired sigh, Mari-chan returns to her normal voice, not the one she uses for her Vtuber persona.

"As I was saying, Yagoo-san is making a medium-sized Safe Haven consisting of the company workers and their immediate families. My co-workers even the ones from the Indonesian and English branches are already on the way with their families." Mari explained with a little bit of enthusiasm.

"Mom and Dad are also already with me. Even though the Cataclysm hasn't even started people running around with powers are dangerous, you know? That's why I have been trying to contact you for a while, you should come here too." Mari said with a slightly pleading tone.

"I also miss you Nii-chan." She said in a murmur that normally shouldn't be heard but because of Great Sage, the message was passed.

Immediately changing into an energetic voice, Mari spoke in a teasing tone, "Since you are watching Vtubers and specifically asked who am I that means you are watching my co-workers right? If you come here, you will be able to see your Oshi's~"

"I might be able to introduce you~ Hehe~" Mari added.

'Damn, that sounds tempting,' I thought to myself.

"Hmm, let me be honest with you Mari. I was not lying when I said I awakened a strong ability, so you shouldn't worry about me that much." I replied seriously.

"So you are not coming?" She asked with a slightly sad tone.

"Nah, I might not stay there, well, I'm not so sure yet. But I'll come to visit okay? How's tomorrow sound?" I immediately replied.

With an energetic voice, Mari replied, "Tomorrow!"

"Yeah, yeah, I get that reference," I replied jokingly.

"Hehe~ I'll drop the call now. No takebacks. Bye~ Bye~" Before I could reply, the call was already disconnected.

-------------------------

Closing my eyes, my thoughts continued to wander, 'Hmm, what to do? Joining Hololive's Safe Haven isn't a bad option, but not being the leader would limit my freedom. The wiser choice would be establishing my own Safe Haven, though that's not feasible right now. Unless I get a skill or item from the Gacha that helps with base-building, I'll need to find a world where I can acquire a mobile base.'

'If I can get Ramiris Labyrinth Creation or a pocket dimension like Makoto's Asora things would be easier.' With these thoughts in mind, I let out a heavy sigh.

Shaking my head, I thought about a silver head boy, 'If I remember correctly, Hajime's main plot concludes in less than a year. He could assist in creating a base, but depending on how long it takes him to defeat Ehito, the base might not be completed before the Cataclysm begins.'

"I'm getting nowhere with this. I should forget about this for now," I muttered out of frustration.

"There are still 361 days before the Cataclysm. I should be able to find a way to establish a base before things go south. Well, worst-case scenario, I could always join Hololive's." With a shrug, I gave up thinking and simply cleared my thoughts.

Sitting comfortably on my gaming chair, I took out the phone and re-equipped my Gojo Skin.

'Since I have nothing to do and don't feel like returning to the Academic City, I'll just wander around the streets of Tokyo as Gojo. I wonder how the weebs will react to this, hahaha.' With a smirk, I instructed Great Sage to teleport me to a crowded area, aiming to amuse myself and relieve some stress.

-------------------------

Floating a few meters above the busy streets of Shibuya, I saw people point out to me.

Some with a trace of fear and panic in their eyes, probably because of the rising crime rate from people awakening skills/abilities.

While some eyes are filled with fanaticism as they clearly recognize Gojo.

Ignoring their reactions, I teleported toward a Traditional Candy Shop selling Japanese Traditional Sweets a few meters away from my location.

Taking out a few bills from my wallet, I bought a few orders of Anpan, Mochi, Daifuku, and Dango's.

Storing a few of them inside the Inventory, I took out several Anpan wrapped in a paper bag as I wandered aimlessly through the crowd while enjoying the sweet treats.

"Hey, that's Gojo-sensei right?" A random weeb excitedly asked his friend.

"Nah, probably just a cosplayer. While powers became a thing, I don't think a random anime character will appear out of nowhere.' The other weeb replied skeptically.

"But he teleported! Not to mention he is walking around with a blindfold eating sweets." The weeb was not buying it and rebuked his friend.

Conversations like that became normal, as I continued to walk around randomly with the crowd.

'Hmm, at first I thought this was a good idea. But meh, I'm tired of this already.' I said to myself intending to teleport out of the area, but before I could, an explosion was heard a few hundred meters to my left.
