A bloodcurdling conspiracy against him

After reaching the entrance of a large villa situated in the center of the city, Lu Xingtian got off his car while his bodyguards trailing behind him.

Head butler, other servants and maids bowed down before him in rows to welcome him back.

Nodding his head towards them as a way of acknowledgement, he went upstairs to come inside his luxurious master bedroom.

After freshening up, he changed into a nightwear robe.. Feeling tired, he sat up on his armchair which was placed near the giant floor to ceiling glass window as he looked at the night view of the whole city from it. Neon lights were further enhancing the beauty of this city.

Being dazed, he muttered to himself, "Should I meet you again? Should I collect your information? Despite of being innocent and interesting, have you any idea how ruthlessly you opened up my wound letting me suffer that excruciating pain as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest?"

At that moment, a call disrupted the silence of the room. Frowning, Lu Xingtian saw the caller's name and received the call.

"Second brother, we have information that somebody paid a plenty sum of money to the most dangerous mercenary organization of the world-EX, to murder you.. We have already notified our higher officials about it. They can't bring themselves to take risk with your safety, so they ordered our special fire team to be assigned to guard you for next few days or even months if it's needed." without any unnecessary introduction, the man from the other side delivered all the information to Lu Xingtian in a machinery tone but a tinge of anxiousness could be detected from his voice.

Letting out a sigh, Lu Xingtian replied, "Before informing your higher-ups, you should have at least consulted with me! By the way, I am going to board my private jet at tomorrow 3 pm to head for America.. I hope you know that. Are your team going to follow me even in there?"

"Not only them but I am also going! I guess they are planning to murder you before your launching programme to destroy the growth of your project. What's your thoughts about it?"

"Well my thoughts are same as you. I'll be going to office within 8 am tomorrow as I have many things to deal with before leaving for USA. Are you going to follow me since morning?"

"Yes, I'll be with my all team members at the entrance of yout villa early in the morning. You have nothing to worry, we won't be late as soldiers are very conscious about time."

Feeling frustrated, Lu Xingtian messaged his temples to calm down his brain, replying "As the launching programme is a very significant part of the project, I can't refuse your suggestion but after coming back to this city, I wil not allow your whole team to trail after me. I have my own bodyguards and moreover I know how busy your special force remain usually."

The man from the other side aka Lei Shao yelled to object, "BUT it's not safe for you!"

"There is no 'but'.. If you don't listen to me, I will not allow you to even follow me to USA. Choice is yours. Bye for now".. Lu Xingtian hung up the call after saying the needful.

Lei family is a military family since many generations. Lei Shao's father; Lei Linhai is the current commander-in-chief of military and Lei Shao himself is the commander of the most efficient special fire team. He used to admire and respect Lu Xingtian from his childhood. Lei Shao treats him as his own elder bother and the most possessive one at that. If he could, he would glue himself with Lu Xingtian all the time!

Letting out a sigh, he failed to decide what to do with this over possessive brother of him!

"Heh, I can clearly guess who's trying to kill me so desperately as he could never tolerate my success and happiness".. he spoke to himself while gritting through his teeth as a bitter smile formed in his lips.

Old memories started haunting him again as he felt a crumbling pain in his heart. The huge room was magnifying his loneliness as he felt his whole body was slowly being numb because of the searing pain coming from his chest.

He staggered to his bed with great difficulty. After lying down on it, he tried to sleep.

But as soon as he closed his eyes, the image of a delicate looking young, beautiful girl flashed in his mind who shyly called out for him, "Tian Tian, do you miss me?"

Lu Xingtian balled his palms into fists and veins were popping out from his forehead. He screamed out madly as if he has gone insane, "Get out.. Don't call me by that name again... I hate you, I hate all women in the world..."

After hearing his scream, head butler knocked at his door, "Young master, are you alright? "

Hearing the butler's concerned voice, Lu Xingtian came back to his senses.

"I am alright, it was just a nightmare, you can go back to your room" After replying back to the butler, he decided to take a shower as his whole body was drenched into sweat and he also needed to cool down his body and mind.

After taking the shower, he opened a particular drawer to take out a sleeping pill and gulped the pill with water..

"..Sigh.. Seems like too many things happened tonight to trigger my painful memories of past, now only this pill can make me forget everything temporarily!"

He closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Lu Xingtian woke up early in the next morning according to his daily routine. He felt a slight headache but a cup of hot coffee helped him to cure it.

After being ready in his business suit, he was checking his things on the laptop when his bodyguards were already waiting inside his house garage with his black Rolls Royce Ghost..

Meanwhile, Lei Shao also reached there with his whole team by riding on two military jeeps.

Lu Xingtian was speechless after seeing two big jeeps! He asked Lei Shao,"Hey I am only going to office, why have you come with all your team members?"

Lei Shao replied, "What if they attack you on the way to office? You are going to office by riding on my jeep. It's final and we are going to take the longer route from here to office as there is a chance for them to plan anything terrible for you on the usual route."

Not knowing how to stop him, Lu Xingtian sighed, "Well do whatever you want. Let's go otherwise I'll be late" after saying this, he got into the military jeep while his own ten bodyguards followed him in Rolls Royce and Black sedan...

Just like him, Qin Rong also woke up very early in this morning.

Being ready in a full sleeve white gown, she was waiting at the main entrance of the 'Antila Residence' for her cab which she booked just a while ago.

A few minutes later, the cab reached to her place and the old man in the driver's seat asked her, "Where to go miss?"

Qin Rong replied, "City A cemetery, please"

The old driver frowned after hearing the name of the place. 'This beautiful woman wants to visit cemetery early in the morning?' he wondered.

Qin Rong didn't speak a single word throughout the whole ride. She stared out of the window but failed to notice anything outside as if she was lost in her own world.

Since she didn't notice anybody or anything near her, she didn't know when a military jeep came next to the cab where she was.

Lu Xingtian was shocked to see the woman with whom he had a unpleasant encounter yesterday. He stared at her deeply.

Her silky golden brown hair was flowing as the wind blew and Lu Xingtian felt his hands were itching to touch it.

Her face was pale and soulless as the rosyness of her cheeck has faded because of the agonizing pain she was experiencing in her heart.

Didn't know why but after seeing her condition, he had a sudden urge to hug her in his embrace and console her to alleviate all her pain.

He wondered in his heart, "Is it really the same girl? Why is she looking so different from yesterday? Why is she looking so desolate as if the whole world has abandoned her?!"
