Chapter Thirty Three: Bumped into him

She struggled in his arms, hitting and fighting him.

"No, they said they are losing her," she cried out, struggling to gain freedom, fighting and hitting him where ever her hands could reach.

"They said they are losing her," she repeated sobbing.

"Didn't you hear him?" she asked out of frustration, as she continued to sob uncontrollably before passing out in his arms.

Joleen was beginning to hear voices, but it was Charles's voice that hit the strings to her consciousness, causing her to now gradually open her eyes. She adjusted her self in what seemed like a bed, causing little dumpling that now brought attention to her.

She saw Charles standing with someone else, but she just couldn't recognize who. Charles had turned towards her after she rolled to the other side. She noticed him dismiss the lady who was dressed as a nurse as he now moved towards her.

"Hey," he said, reaching to her side, reaching for her hands, grabbing it and holding onto it.

" How are you feeling?" He asked.

'why was she in a hospital bed?

 What happened to her?

Why was he asking how she was feeling? She wasn't the one he should be checking up on.'

She immediately gasped, realizing her self.

Her Nana!

"Grandma," she muttered.

"Where is she?" She asked, a little energized. She sat up swiftly, tucked her hair behind her ears, and attempted to make her way out of the bed.

"H e y, hey, hey..."

Charles had stopped her from hopping out of the bed. He blocked her, his two hands wedging her by both sides, preventing her from continuing her intentions.

"She is okay, she is stable," he said, raising his hands to her hair, holding her still and to his chest.

"She is?" She asked raising her face to his, making and innocent sad face.

"Yes, she is, likely more stable than you are right now," he said jestly, moving her head to relax on his chest, causing her to keep shut, but only for a minute.

"Where is she? Can I see here? I wanna talk to her." She requested.

"She is still unconscious, haven't woken up yet." He informed her.

She appeared a little disappointed, but she definitely understand that it was almost impossible to have a major brain surgery and the awake so soon.

She let her breath out, a little relieved, it was good news so far.

"What was the fuss earlier about?" She inquired. Now remembering the last thing that happened before she must have passed out.

"Mmm.." Charles let out, now releasing her from his grip. Joleen maintained the sitting position, but now rested her back on the edge of the bed.

"I'm not sure," he said, briefly scratching his head.

"I think something about change of facility due to an unforseen changes in her response to a static electrical equipment, so they had to suddenly move her to another facility.

But not to worry, she picked up almost immediately."
