A Treat II

so, she would always have him tell her what to do, but she wasn't gonna let him tell her what to do about her own body.

"You might be my boss, but that still doesn't give you the right to make me feel bad simply because I don't have the luxury to self-care as you do," she said, breaking away from his embrace and he let her.

She saw him study her carefully before he then spoke.

"You should try taking a nap, I will have them pardon you for tomorrow," he spoke gently.

Joleen felt a little embarrassed. She came at him with defense and attack but yet, he only offered a solution to what she could be lacking in such a gentle spirit.

His gaze traveled through her body from head to toe before moving past her.

"I will arrange a spa and full body massage therapy for you." She was stunned to hear that, and of course, she wasn't accepting the offer. she was done letting him assist or offering any form of help to her. What comes after was always bigger than the initial problem.

"Thanks for the offer, but I will pass," she said.

He turned again, and they both faced and looked into each other.

"Except you would rather be at VENUS tomorrow," he said with a calm face as if he wasn't just playing smart with her.

She was silent, she didn't say a thing, but she was enraged. In as much as she loved to study and be taught, she also succumbed to the fact that she needed rest.

"Just as I thought." He said with a faint smile. Before turning and making his way to the stairs that would lead him to the walk way up.

"A chauffeur will pick you up at 4 PM, don't keep him waiting," he said as he kept moving farther away from her.

"I'm only this kind today, enjoy it while it last, Tomorrow might not be the same," he now spoke from a distance, causing his voice to be strained.

"And also, wear something nice, we meet a friend first before we go for your treat." He spoke before he almost immediately disappeared from her gaze.

'We?' she thought.

"What is we?" She muttered. She stood there in confusion like she didn't know what the literary meaning of 'we' was

"Who is we?" She added.

Was he meaning to say that he would as well follow her to this spa treatment? And she was to follow him somewhere too? Was it an open place, would people see her with the famous Dennis Wayne? Why would he risk been seen outside with his domestic staff or to make it worse, a student in his firm? He was Dennis Wayne! The man who only does things his way without putting anyone into consideration.

But she doubted if he had ever been seen with one of his staff or ever given then a treat, so, why her? She wondered.
