Was it the soup?
There was something odd about the feel and the tenderness of the added mushrooms. The crab stick didn’t seem fresh too. Can a soup cause fever anyway? I haven't heard anything of that sort before but is it possoble?
I couldn’t sleep just thinking of it. Sir Jiego and I have a very important appointment with a broker tomorrow, I couldn’t be sick. But here we are.
What’s surprising about this moment is that I’m not here alone in my room. Someone chose to nurse me. Not that I needed it. It’s sweet. I’m not used to anything like it before. And his presence was calming enough.
He stood up. I guess Jiego has to leave the room now. I opened my eyes and without thinking much of it, I reached for his wrist.
