Chapter 22: Fate is indeed very vicious!!

Both ladies sat on the couch with their legs crossed on the couch and their backs leaning against the couch. Their hair was styled in a bun on top of their heads and wearing pajamas. 

A sheet mask was applied over their faces and mouth. Li Xia's fingers roamed over her face pressing the sheet mask to stick to her face. While Jing Xi looked at her and waited for her to spill the beans. 

"Now spill," Jing Xi demanded impatiently. She couldn't wait anymore to know what mess her best friend created this time. 

Li Xia slightly moved to face Jing Xi. Her hands were now resting on her lap and her gaze was fixed on Jing Xi. 

"I told you at the restaurant that I met Luo Yuan at one of the events," she proceeded to tell Jing Xi everything about him and the whole incident.

"Yeah, and?" Jing Xi prompted her to continue.

"After you left me there, I saw him having a blind date with a woman," Li Xia revealed.

Jing Xi widened her eyes in astonishment. 

"Is he dating? Does he have a girlfriend?" Jing Xi asked. Li Xia shrugged her shoulders and shook her head 'no'.

Jing Xi thought and remained silent for a moment before saying, "then?"

"Don't interrupt me," Li Xia warned as she shot Jing Xi a glare. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply for a while before continuing.

"I thought he might want some help to get rid of that sticky woman. So to help him. I accidentally kissed him..." Li Xia revealed as she hid her face with her hands, to get rid of the embarrassment while blushing with pink cheeks.

"Oh my God,  Li Xia!" Jing Xi covered her mouth in disbelief. She was shocked at the revelation. 

When did her friend become fearless and bold? There was a time when she was afraid of confessing her love for Luo Yuan. 

"When did you become so audacious and assertive?" Jing Xi asked as she sat straight up on the couch staring at her friend in wonderment while clapping her hand lightly.

"I was a bit drunk,"  Li Xia responded as she lowered her hands from her face and looked at her friend with a regretful face.

"What happened afterward? What did Luo Yuan say?" Jing Xi interrogated her best friend even more curious about the outcome of the kiss.

"Of course, he was furious at me," Li Xia murmured as she then picked up a couch and stuffed it under her arm.

"And then it turned out that he was now living in front of my apartment," Li Xia continued while making a gesture with her right hand indicating he lived in front of hers.

"Fate is indeed very vicious," Jing Xi remarked as she rubbed her chin with her finger.  

"This wasn't enough until…" Li Xia moved her head toward Jing Xi and interpreted her sentence, with a frown on her face. 

"I puked all the drinks I drank yesterday because I was mad at him. That's how I ended up at your house today," Li Xia finished while shaking her head in dismay.

"Wow, your life is full of drama. How do you always manage to find trouble?" Jing Xi exclaimed laughing.

"Laugh at my misery, okay?" Li Xia muttered as she slumped on the sofa again.

"Okay, okay, Calm down," Jing Xi tried to placate her best friend. But Li Xia just ignored her and buried her face in the cushion.

"Okay, I will not laugh at you," Jing Xi promised. Li Xia slowly lifted her head off the pillow. She gave Jing Xi a small smile before looking at her. 

"That would be your kindness," Li Xia commented sarcastically while removing the sheet mask from her face. She was done with her night routine and also with her friend's interrogation. 

"You sit and laugh at my misfortune and I am going to sleep," Li Xia said as she stood up from the sofa and tossed the pillow on her friend's chest before turning around and heading towards the room. 

She was tired from all the shoots that were continuously held for 3 consecutive days. And from all those dramas that her life kept on throwing at her like an old shoe.

As soon as she entered her room. She slouched on the bed and let out a deep breath. She stared blankly at the ceiling with her arms laying next to her body.

"Li Xia, Li Xia what a troublesome woman you turned out to be," She murmured while smiling bitterly. Then she placed her hands on the sides of her face, massaging the area between her eyebrows.

After that, she dropped her hands back into her lap and let out another loud sigh. Her eyes fell on her phone next to her. She took it off the table. Looking at the time it was already 11:00 P.M. She moved towards the message that just popped up on her screen. It was from Xiao Xian.

"Your Live stream is scheduled for 10:00 A.M.  tomorrow. Don't forget about it!"

"I almost forgot about the live stream,"  Li Xia muttered, as her lips formed a thin line.

"Okay, don't worry about it," she texted back in reply. Li Xia closed her phone after sending the text. She put her phone on the nightstand next to the bed and stretched out her arms.

She was ready to sleep now as tomorrow is going to be a long day for her.
