Business lunch
"So tell me something about your family" Lucas said to Veronica. "Well, I live with my uncle and aunty. My parents died in a plane crash" Veronica said the last line with a sad expression.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked this" Lucas said feeling guilty. "Oh, no, no, It's absolutely okay. Moreover, my aunt is just like my mother. She loves me like her own child. I call my aunt 'Mom' because I see her as my own mother" Veronica said happily.
"Oh, then maybe your uncle also loves you like his own daughter" Lucas said smiling at Veronica. But hearing this, Veronica's face darkened. She never felt comfortable around her uncle. And, no father would look at his daughter the way her uncle looks at her.
She was thinking about these things and changed the topic saying, "Mmmm, this dish is soo yum. Try this," Veronica said with a smile.
