Mr CEO's Perfect Addiction

Xavier glanced at the passing sceneries as the car drove at a moderate speed. He sighed, took out his laptop and began to work on some files he will need to make use of that morning. He has everything he should have, the most talented bachelor's position is his, he is known to be ruthless, cold and aloof. He closed the laptop and sighed once more, "can you guys move a bit faster and stop moving at a snail's speed? I have a meeting to attend in twenty minutes time", his cold voice resounded in the car. " On it sir", the driver replied. He hated tardiness, the driver gave a few instructions through his ear piece. The car picked up a steady speed.

Ten minutes later five latest black Porsche cars slowly rolled to a stop in front of XM group of companies headquarters, New York. Ten tall, burly and fierce bodyguards immediately align themselves in two rows with their heads bowed as the ridiculously handsome, nation's husband stepped out with a cold expression on his face. With long strides he made a beeline for his private elevator. All idling staffs immediately froze and dared not make a noise. Immediately he entered his private elevator, they released the breath they withheld unconsciously because his overall appearance took their breath away. A few single as well as married women blushed furiously, seriously this man can make noses bleed. They chattered incessantly and their faces resembled ripe tomatoes.

" I wish he can just glance at me, I will willingly die without regret"

"Look whose talking, are you qualified to breathe the same air he breathes?"

"The man is a walking pheromone, am willing to be his one nightstand"

"Oh gosh! I can't wait to bear his children"

" Well", pushed up her boobs in a seductive manner and glanced at the rest haughtily and looked in the direction Xavier went flirtatiously," I want to be his legal wife"

The other women in each cubicle could be not suppress the laughter in their mouths, she became fierce all of a sudden.

" Who dares to laugh at me? Show yourself"

" Coming from someone who sleeps with every Dick, Tom and Harry in this office", came a side comment from a heavily made up lady.

Wriggling her brows, "some birds should never dream of being a Phoenix"

"You...", She huffed. "Just wait and see".

The steady sound of footsteps made the ladies to scramble to their respective cubicles to continue their work. The person appeared to be the CEO's personal assistant Jeff Madison.

"We are having a meeting in ten minutes", glanced at this wristwatch. "Heads of all departments are required to come with a summary of the project work assigned to your department", he announced and left without hesitation.

The once silent atmosphere bubbled with trepidation and many began to have goosebumps and cold sweat.

"We were supposed to have this presentation by the end of the month" complained a petite young lady.

"As expected of the CEO, he does his things whenever he feels like"

...... In the Conference room thirty minutes later.

The entire room was shrouded in ice and they kept wiping their imaginary sweat and tears.

"Maybe I have been paying you guys for nothing, huh. Imagine the trash called a report, can you honestly present this to bid for a contract? Absolute nonsense", he flung the report and the director at fault scrambled to pick it up. Raising his brows in a sexy manner.

A few of the directors felt like wetting their trousers on the spot, they palpitated endlessly while awaiting their punishment. They kept pleading for mercy in their minds, they knew there were finally doomed.

" I think a few of you should be sent..." His phone chose to vibrate at that moment and he couldn't ignore the caller.

"Hello", came his dull sonorous voice.

"Even sounding so cold to your granny? Humph! What an unfilial child", his granny ma sounded aggrieved on the other end.

"Have you eaten and done your regular exercise today?" His voice especially softened at this point and everyone in the room perked up their heads and had strange expressions on their faces

Were they hearing things? Was that his CEO talking? With whom was he so gentle to? Perhaps the CEO had their secret little madam who is yet I be revealed. Hehehe, even the CEO also has needs.

He soon ended the call and caught them unawares. "Is there anything I should be aware of?" They frantically shook their heads while smiling to themselves at the new found secret.

He stood up and straightened his tie, "get back to work, meeting dismissed". Jeff gathered the files and followed him out.

"Phew! That was close call"

" Is it true that our CEO is secretly married?"

Word spread immediately throughout the entire company and everyone got to know that their CEO'S heart have been captured by a strong and powerful woman. All the ladies envied the woman who was able to sit close to him.

Back at the office, Xavier removed his jacket slowly and even his personal assistant seem to be smitten as his ears turned red. He cursed himself internally at his foolishness.

"Get me the annual report for the automobiles branch when you are done blushing"

Jeff's face turned pure red at his comment and rushed out with his head bowed. Nothing escapes his eyes seriously, even the tinniest flick of emotion.

The plane landed at exactly 12.45pm, at the lounge a slim and well groomed dark haired lady as she rolls her luggage. She took out her phone and failed a certain number as her lips curled upwards.

"Hello Xavier, am in the airport. Come quickly and pick me up". A one word reply came through the other end.

Isabella Mia Charles is the second and the last child of the Lawson's. She travelled outside the country to study and she has obtained five PhD in different areas of specialisation at the age of 24. One can say that high intelligent quotient runs in the blood, of course Xavier has eight PhDs and studied all the courses ahead on his own before his admission into college. The arrival of the tall handsome man turned heads in the airport, Isabella waved at him and shouted "big brother".

Xavier is practically helpless against her boisterous character as he is an introvert. He likes keeping low profile but is unmatched in terms of arrogance and narcissism. His high intelligent quotient at a very young age gave him a upper hand above his colleagues and mates. At the age of seven he had already started attending shareholders and important meetings with his father in the family's company's headquarters. At 10, he had a strong grip on the nitty gritty of the company's core history, secrets and above all he had a strong impenetrable aura around him that made other to cower and his bidding. At 12, he had already started to build his first company single handedly, at 20 he was the youngest CEO in history. His name ranked the first in terms of looks, qualifications, achievements and above all his bachelorhood.

Jeff Madison who drove him there curtsied to Isabella who snorted in return and entered the car with a loud bang of the door.

"As expected of my brother, you are a faithful type. My future sister in-law is lucky but unfortunately your wife will worry to death because your emotional quotient is zero"

" What do you mean by that?"

" Seriously, your old employees are still around you for over six years now and my brother is not during anything about his bachelorhood apart from burying his head in files all year round. Assistant Jeff should be able to guide you on that path, he looks like someone who is quite experienced in such aspects, am I right assistant Jeff?"

" As long as they do their work, I see no reason to fire them."

Jeff lamented internally, this woman want him to clash with his boss. At that moment he could feel a chilly gaze from his boss so he decided to pacify both sides.

"Miss Isabella has good intentions and also my boss is the most wanted bachelor in the whole of this country, he has outstanding looks compared to other men. I believe he is yet to find his true love".

Xavier was glad to hear the the first part of the reply until he got to the end, he scoffed loudly.

Jeff at the driver's seat was grateful for having a boss like Xavier unlike this unruly sister of his who takes decision at impulse.

"Tell your driver to stop at Starbucks and get me my favourite ice cream"

Jeff grumbled internally, why is this lady picking on him ever since they met. He remembered a saying that a woman will become hyperactive if she is on ovulation and he secretly prayed for it not to be so. Hey, why was he so concerned about that part of her life?, He blushed faintly as his ears turned pink.

Isabella saw his expression through the rear mirror and asked "is your assistant catching fever? Look, his face is red". Xavier glanced at him briefly and couldn't guess what's wrong with him.

"Why take notice of his expression? A woman will only do that if she is interested in that man"

Isabella flew into rage, " what are you spewing?" Pointed her shaking finger at him.

" You....Humph", she turned away from him while Xavier smiled fainted. Jeff kept chanting the mantra that Miss Isabella can never be interested in him.
