CHAPTER 61: INVITED

"so you saw your ex boyfriend?"Hannah said in a rather teasing tone has Mia raised an eyebrow.

"what?"Hannah shrugged not knowing what she did wrong at the moment it looked like Mai was going to scold her.

"yes but its about business so.."Mia left the words hanging for Hannah

The latter looked dissappointed after hearing her reply as she mouthed an oh with a dissappointed look. she was expecting something more than that not about business. Mia knew exactly what Hannah wanted to hear while she narrowed her eyes

"so you guys did nothing"Hannah concluded hoping that wasn't the case but her hopes were shattered when Mia shook her head.

"he hasn't given me a reply yet but..."Mia contemplated

"but what?"Hannah asked her curiosity piqued. Mia smirked happy she got her attention. Leaving the words hanging was something Hannah never liked regardless of what it might be about.

"he invited me to the annual ceremony"she said and this time Hannah's eyes widened but not in shock. She opened her mouth only to close it again.

"well... are you going to go?"she asked curiously and was glad when Mia nodded.

"but I want you to come with me"she heard Mia said and almost choked in her saliva. This was something she hadn't thought about,she didn't go to high class parties and prefers to party at home or just hang out in the bar or club. She had no idea if she would fit in.

Her eyes looked up to see Mia's gaze focused on her, being seriously as if letting Hannah know she won't take no for an answer.

Left with no options,she agreed and could see the light of happiness and excitement flash across Mia's eyes.

"now that it's decided what should I wear for the party?"

Hannah eyes darted around the room ,her mind went blank,the past days she hadn't made any extra dresses and now's low on ideas,she had been taking a break from the extra work she put herself through.

"how about we go shopping?"she suggested to which Mia agreed with a nod

She headed towards the kitchen and came back with some chips,at that moment Hannah noticed she had finish the previous one and Mia had not taken a single piece. A low chuckle left her lips while she pouted like a baby.

"we'll go when we are done with this"Mia went to seat down right beside Hannah. At the wrong moment,ad Mia would have said the door Bell rang. She sighed feeling to lazy to get up again after having to sit down.

"Hannah can you get?"Mia requested

"you sound like it's your house milady"Hannah teased at the same time opening the door revealing Alex who had casual dress on while he pushed Hannah aside walking inside to see Mia who sat lazily on the couch with a bowl of chips in her hand.

She waved the way a child would making Alex raise a brow.

"you can't push me aside like that"Hannah voice sounded from the background. Alex rolled his eyes at her annoying self.

"wait don't close the door"he said and Alexa,just in time pushed the door opened after Hannah almost slammed it.

"oh sorry my darling"Hannah said in an apologetic tone while she snarled at Alex .

Alexa skipped towards mia before going to give her a hug on the chair.

"what are you doing here?"Hannah question was directed to Alex who had no intention to reply

"I came to see someone useful and mature"

Mia gave Alex a warning look and he got the message"I came to check you at your house but no one was home so I a came here and just like I thought I found you here"he replied with a smile slumping on the couch while the took off his shoes before fully laying down,his leg at the other side of the couch.

"did you know about the annual ceremony?"he suddenly ask and Mia with chips in her mouth

"hmhuh yeos" she swallowed the chips before continuing

"yes I saw it in the news I'll definitely be there Ryan invited"she said almost fast for no one to hear.

"why'd you guys break up"he took a piece of chips awaiting Mia's reply. She felt her heart skipped a beat , looking at Hannah who simply shrugged with the look of"don't look at me?"

"it's personal"she managed to say

"I'm sure it's not to personal for you to tell me"Alex took another piece of chips.

"she said it's personal, what part of that don't you get"Hannah threw the remote she was holding at him. Alex who was quick to avoid it sent a glare to her only to receive a humph in return.

"please stop fighting"mis got tired of their childish behavior still not used to it

"big sister let's go shopping now , brother?"Alexa turned to each of them with a baby face. Mia stared at Alexa who had grown so much compared to the last time she saw her.

"sure besides we have nothing to do"

"I'll go change" Hannah went up to her room .

"you know school is stressful"Alexa ststed

"then get use to it"Mia commented

"I'm getting use to it but with all the assignments and projects..."

"if you can't handle it get married,you can just do cooking and nothing else" Alex chimed in.

"brother!!!" Alexa looked at Mia who gave her a pat on her back.

"you are not encouraging"she said

"then stop complaining"Alex replied.

"okay I'm ready let's go"Hannah came wearing a shirt gown with a brown heel boot that's around her ankle. The trio headed for the car that's packed outside with Mia staying at the back seat along with Alexa with Hannah at the front. She put her hand around alexa who rested on her. The drive was smooth with the road free of traffic.

The soon stopped in front of a building with the first to get out to be Alexa who ran ahead of them and the remaining three followed behind.

Mia was now in front of numerous dresses that got her confused. "which are you going to pick"she heard Hannah say

"honestly I'm not sure"she replied her eye still focused in the dresses in front of her"while you are making your choice, what'd you think if this one?"Hannah swirled with a blue dress in her hand.

"perfect"Mia commented. Hannah had a good eye for dresses and she picked whatever suits her perfectly.

Mis moved to the other side, passing by Alexa who looked like she found a dress of her choice as she headed to the bathroom along with Hannah to test it out.
