Genevieve looked at him without saying anything, she refused to admit that he was right. Coming back to her father would have angered him and at the same time be a blessing to him. He would have sold her to the highest bidder so long he got what he was going for.
She knew he was telling the truth but she didn't want to believe that what he was doing was saving her. No, he wouldn't go the extra mile to save her for nothing. He must be after something.
"What do you want after doing this?" She asked and Rhett blinked but the smile on his face didn't fester.
"You're asking me what I want?" He asked looking amused.
His little bird was proving to him that she wasn't as stupid as he'd thought.
"Yes, what do you want? I know you wouldn't do this without liking for something to gain. So tell me what do you want?" She questioned with her hands balled by her side.
