Sweet Escape

The entire escape from Queensbury was a blur to Maxixe.

Thinking back he remembered the door opening slowly, Maxixe had started burning up again he heard when Dr. Reynolds exclaimed loudly at the awful sight of his patient. 

Immediately the doctor got to work Maxixe would have to be stripped by them both since he was in no condition to do so himself.

His assistant had already started drinking the tainted wine and was not much used to him not due to the wine.

It was due to his illness that had no cure, it was destroying his mind and he felt so much pain he was barely sleeping at nights, death was like a sweet escape for him. 

That's why when the assistant was asked to switch places with Maxixe he saw it as a way to be of use to his family and not hold them back with mounting debts.

All the loans, he had used to support his family when he couldn't work from being in too much pain from his illness would be paid off
