The Unfortunate Turn of Events
Was it just her reaction to his kiss, or did Edwina really feel something for him even after what he did? She touched her heart and tried to calm it down, as it was beating loudly like a drum. She was sure that people might hear her heartbeat if they were awake.
Back in the kitchen, Aaron closed his eyes one last time and was ready to leave. He knew he could not stay there any longer. The flashback of what happened there was being repeated before his eyes. He needed to clear his head. He shot one last look at the place where milk split, and he sighed loudly. He walked out of the kitchen and walked along the corridors of the palace. He found himself walking towards the main door.
The main door was closed shut. He knew two guards were waiting outside and two were standing inside for extra security. No one knew when or how Seth would attack so everyone was prepared. He ordered the guards to open the door and wandered into the gardens.
