Ch-49
Lenora was deeply thinking about the Witch's words.
"Truths… they were hidden for enough time. Nature will help you in uncovering them. But finding truths can be fatal not for you but for the people you care about. Careful yet don't stop. Fated or not, being with him is nature's course. Don't let anyone crack it,"
Was she warning her that the truth may kill her?
Does that mean there was someone who could risk killing the daughter of Vampire King and Vampire Queen?
And her brother was the king now. Does that mean there were some who could risk their lives to get her?
She could only think of Emperor Lich and none.
Emperor Lich…. What use did he have?
And with Ophelia in the picture, she doesn't know what to do or what to believe. She felt like everything was a lie.
Speaking of the lies, the witch said something about that too.
"You are walking in the right way. Don't let the things that came to you slip away if you let them… then it can destroy the entire world. Trust nobody but yourself. Even your shadow can walk and talk at times,"
She meant all her findings were right. But her findings may slip away. It means…. She was going to have trouble with many things. Destroying the world…. Why did she even those many big words?
How are her findings of the truth connected to the world? This was more complicated than she thought.
With every step, she took toward the truth, the more harder and complicated it's getting.
As the saying goes great things are achieved with great difficulties. She doesn't want luxuries for herself but justice for her sister's death.
Maybe she should agree with the witch, and just keep things to herself. Picking the people on her own would do the trick. Or maybe she should believe in werewolves. They were more trustworthy than Vampires. They believe in brotherhood. As for lies, nobody knows what happens at any second in this world. She has to be careful.
Uff… this was the nth time she wished she wasn't a dead person. Again the Witch said another thing about this too.
"I know. You are more than a dead person,"
This line, itself made her think a lot. More than a dead person?
What was she?
Maybe spending hours in the library reading an end number of books on different species may give an answer to her.
She has a beating heart, can resist the sun, and can even see the flashes of the walking skeleton which was Emperor Lich.
That made her think of her abilities even though she wasn't an original vampire she could compel the other vampires too. She can see through the memories of the people she wanted. Her thirst for blood increased.
These were the habits and abilities of her sister Victoria. She owned these things. Did she inherit her abilities?
No no no… there was no way that could happen. There was no way or no situation where a vampire's abilities were transferred to a different one.
This must be that stupid Emporer lich who cast some sort of ritual with her.
At the mention of the ritual, she remembered the flashes she saw when she touched Emporer Lich's hands.
She saw him chanting something that made her sister walk toward him on her own followed by a shadow. As she thought about the shadow felt familiar. She tried to remember the flash again.
Wait… the person put a hand on Victoria's shoulder which was adorned with a green jade bracelet.
She saw it somewhere. She could feel its familiar. Lenora just couldn't remember where she saw. For sure she saw it.
