chapter 24 ~talk with the moon goddess

Alex pov

In the morning I woke up in Raven's arms. It was nice for once to get a nice sleep with my mate. I slowly unwrap Raven's arms from around me and get up and go to the bathroom. I start my daily routine. Once I'm done with my shower I get dressed in the outfit for the day.

I decided to go with a yellow shirt with white stripes with a tiny pineapple on it. I paired the shirt with some denim shorts and some tennis shoes.



Once I'm finished getting dressed I go over to my desk and grab a piece of paper and a pen and write a note for Raven. Once I'm finished writing the now I put it on my pillow and head to my closet.

When I enter my closet I open the door to the secret hallway. Once I'm in the secret hallway I closed the door quietly behind me not to wake Raven before heading to the kitchen. When I enter the kitchen I see Isaac making mac and cheese like usual.

You do realize mac and cheese is not a breakfast food right. I say. Mac and cheese could be whatever meal I want it to be. Plus someone ate the last of my leftovers last night. Isaac says. I internally laughed knowing me and Ravens going up finished his leftover mac and cheese last night.

You are legit obsessed with mac and cheese. I saying he just chuckles. I prefer to have an actual meal for breakfast instead of just fruit. Isaac counters. I just chuckled knowing perfectly well that I only eat fruit for breakfast. At least I know no one's going to steal my leftover fruits. I say to Isaac.

No one's going to steal your leftover fruits because no one eats fruit for breakfast besides you. Isaac says I roll my eyes. That's not true hope eats fruits for breakfast too. I say. He just shakes his head and chuckles.

Don't dash on my unhealthy breakfast choice and I won't dash on yours. Isaac tells me. Fair enough I guess. I say. Isaac continues to make his mac and cheese while I get in the fridge and grab the strawberries. I grabbed two strawberry out of the container before this container is snatched from my eyesight.

I turn around to see Isaac with the strawberries. I glare at him no one steals my strawberries think it's away with it. Just as I'm about to tackle him I get a mind link.

Alpha where are you? Chris asks. With Isaac why. I ask. Hope it's freaking out because she can't find you. She keeps going on and on about something about the moon. Chris reprise. Okay I'll be there in a minute just make sure she doesn't hurt herself. I tell him before cutting off the mind link.

When I finish my linking I see Isaac waving his hand in front of my face. Everything okay? Isaac asks. I nod. Yeah just hope it's freaking out I got to go see what's going on. I tell him he just nods. I stand up and head out of the kitchen.

When I get to the door that opens to my office I push the button in the door opens. Once I step out the bookshelf closes. Just as I'm about to the door the door bursts open revealing hope. Just as I'm about to ask her what's going on I start to get to see and everything goes black.

I wake up in a familiar meadow. I look around and see hope right beside me. Just as all about to ask her what happened a bright light appears. The moon goddess steps out of the bright light. She has a warm smile on her face. Welcome back my child. She says. Moon goddess. I greeted with a slight bow.

I have come to warn you. A great danger Will arise very soon. They will do anything in their power to get an ancient amulet. Someone you know well will be helping them. If they succeed in getting their hands on this said amulet it will bring despair to the whole world. The moon goddess tells me.

I looked at hope and she looks like she already knew this. Why don't you seem surprised? I asked hope. This is what I was coming to tell you about. Hope says. I just nod and look back to the moon goddess.

To help you with this mission my dear child. I will be giving you your moon goddess Powers early. You would usually receive them at the goddess ball with the other goddesses in training. But the situation is dire and needs to be solved quickly. You will need a lots of training and practice with your powers to defeat this evil. The moon goddess says.

Just as I'm about to question what she means I feel incredible pain in my head. All of a sudden my hand start to Glow. And weird Moon symbols starts to appear around the air. All of a sudden in the blink that I am back in my office. I blink a few times to see if I'm really in my office. When I conclude that I am indeed in my office I look at Hope.

She's looking at me with an awestruck expression. What ? I ask. She doesn't answer just continues to stare at me. Wow. Hope mumbles. I just stare at her waiting for an explanation. Your hair it's not blonde anymore. It's like silver and blue now. Not to mention it shorter. Hope says handing me a compact mirror.

Indeed my hair was shorter and now silver with blue mixed in. My eyes were even a brighter blue with a silver ring around them. I run my fingers through my hair in awe. Just when I'm about to reply to Hope there's a proof and a box is on my desk.

I walk over to my desk and look at the box. On top of the box was a silver envelope with the moon still on it. I open the envelope to find a letter and the mystery invitation I received.

Dear Alex

I'm sorry we ran out of time in the magic meadow. Here is your ball gown and crown for the goddess ball to go with your brand new look. Each goddess or goddess in training has their signature crown and ball gown that they have to wear to all goddess events. I am aware that you have already received an invitation. But I figured you wouldn't go because you didn't know what it was. Just a heads up the protectors of the goddesses in training will have to attend the ball as well. With that said hope it's already received her protector ball gown for the goddess ball. At the ball you'll be meeting the other goddesses in training.

The moon goddess

I read the letter out loud. I open the beautiful decorated silver box to see a beautiful black ball gown with stars and embroidered on it along with a beautiful silver star crown.

A new look and a crown and gown we really are lucky. Lace says in my head. Tell me about it and I feel stronger than I did before. I reply to her. I wonder what the other goddess is in training is like. Lace says. I guess we'll find out in a week. I reply.

I look back at the contents in the box before free closing the list of the box. I turned towards hope and smile. Well that was interesting. I say and Hope just nods. But with the new information the moon goddess has relied on me I know I have to call Ace. I have a really bad feeling that the amulet she was talking about is in my brother's care.

If the intruder that had broken into my brother's office is the evil the moon goddess was referring to. I have a feeling his whole pack is going to be in grave danger. Me and hope says goodbye and hope heads up the door to go find Chris.

As I pick up my phone I'm just about to call Ace when there's a knock on my office door. As I walk closer to the door to getting ready to open it I catch the scent of my best friend. I open the door in there behold is Ava. I open the door wider and let her walk in.

Just as I'm about to say hello she squeals and cuts me off. Oh my God what did you do to your hair I love it. Ava says. I explain everything that just happened. That's amazing that you get to go to the goddess ball. Not to mention you're basically royalty now. Heck you're higher than the werewolf Queen and king. Ava exclaims.

Okay okay whatever settle down now. Anyway what brings you to my lovely pack? I asked she chuckles. Well I got a call from Raven about you guys going on a picnic date in an hour. Ava says and I'm mentally facepalm. How can I forget about my first date with Raven. Luckily I'm already wearing the outfit I wanted to wear for the date.

I totally forgot what all the drama that just happened. Luckily I'm already wearing my outfit. I tell her and she shakes her head with a knowing smile. You were one to focus more on work then your personal life. Ava says. I smile knowing she's telling the truth. For the next hour we hang out before I have to go to my date with Raven I can't wait to see the lovely picnic he has prepared.
