Moon's Embrace

EXCERPT: A letter to Moon Moriarty… "Just like the kingdom where I was given another life, you came and gave me another ray of hope. If you are reading this letter, then I must be long gone from this world, but I want you to know I am still with you. I left a flower in your hands. Please water it and help it grow and spring out in a beautiful way. I hope you will be reminded of me whenever you see her. I want you to train her not in the way we know of, but in the way we would have wanted to live. Help her live a royal life but do not involve her in royalty, for there lies the evil things we may never know of. I know you went to create a world we could live in peacefully and in love, and now, our daughter will be the one to enjoy most of it. Also, I would love if you can take a trip to where we first met. There, I will be waiting for you. In my next life, I will choose you all over again and by then, I hope we meet in different circumstances. I love you. Till we meet again." __Genevieve This is a heart-wrenching tale of sacrifice, resilience and bittersweet romance. This is my WSA 2024 Entry. Support this book with your votes, reviews and comments.

The inn

Eve stood in the garden, staring at the flowers with Mina behind her. After Isabel left, she had watched Maidservant Ann return to her room and she had come here with Mina who decided to tag along.

"Eve," Mina called and when Eve responded with a hum, she asked, "Do you think the princess will be okay?"

Eve slowly blinked and lowered her eyes a little down the flower. She replied, "I don't know."

Mina went ahead to ask, "If it were to be you, will you be okay?"

Eve turned her body to now look at Mina and she could see how she arched her brows, looking concerned.

"I know you and the princess are close, even though it may not seem so. And I know how you must be feeling right now. Eve," she called again, "will you really be okay?"

Eve thought about it for some seconds and she couldn't find an answer for it, but because she didn't want to keep Mina worried, she parted her lips and said, "I—"

"Eve!"
