Moon's Embrace

EXCERPT: A letter to Moon Moriarty… "Just like the kingdom where I was given another life, you came and gave me another ray of hope. If you are reading this letter, then I must be long gone from this world, but I want you to know I am still with you. I left a flower in your hands. Please water it and help it grow and spring out in a beautiful way. I hope you will be reminded of me whenever you see her. I want you to train her not in the way we know of, but in the way we would have wanted to live. Help her live a royal life but do not involve her in royalty, for there lies the evil things we may never know of. I know you went to create a world we could live in peacefully and in love, and now, our daughter will be the one to enjoy most of it. Also, I would love if you can take a trip to where we first met. There, I will be waiting for you. In my next life, I will choose you all over again and by then, I hope we meet in different circumstances. I love you. Till we meet again." __Genevieve This is a heart-wrenching tale of sacrifice, resilience and bittersweet romance. This is my WSA 2024 Entry. Support this book with your votes, reviews and comments.

An unsettling feeling

Moon stood beside the entrance of the grand hall, still patiently waiting for Eve's arrival. He hasn't seen her anywhere and something in him was convincing him that she would still come, that she was just being late. He didn't want to think of the other one, that maybe something must have happened. He shook his head and brushed the odd feeling away and he started to take a stroll back and forth. As he did that, he started to count in numbers in his mind and as he did that, he raised his eyes to look ahead of him. He stopped strolling and miscounted when he saw two royally dressed men, each flanked by their entourage, heading towards the grand hall. One was sturdy while the other was slender and agile. One could see it from the way he walked. They seem to have been discussing something on their way before now because the sturdy man had a smile playing on his lips while the other just stared ahead of him with a straight face as if he was least bothered.
