They, too, needed to pause for food, a respite they typically reserved for the cover of night to avoid falling prey to Kane's nighttime ambushes. On this occasion, their meal of choice consisted of giant bats, and they used the opportunity to relax.
As they reclined and indulged in their feast, an abrupt shift in the atmosphere grabbed their attention. Before they could discern the cause of this disturbance, their serenity shattered. An onslaught of spears, propelled at astonishing speed, bore down upon them. Thanks to their massive frames and formidable defenses, the wooden spears failed to penetrate deeply into their flesh. The giants furrowed their brows in confusion as they removed the embedded spears, bewildered by this unexpected assault.
