Ch. 6 Heavenly Sound

Big Sister Mei brought the instruments to the lounge and laid them all out.

There was a Zither, a Guitar, a Keyboard and a Flute.

'Woah, I think the Guqin looks very nice,' Ren thought inwardly.

"big sis can u teach me the Guqin?"

"Of course Little Ren. i'll play a few pieces and teach you the notes afterwards"

With the strum of a finger a sound rang out. immediately attracting the attention of Ren Ji. The sounds she played directly hit a being's soul and resonated with it!

Ren was almost in a trance for the whole song until it finally ended.

"Uh Big Sis i heard a sound and didn't hear anything else? Did you stop so soon?"

'Ehk.. this little fellow couldn't possibly be messing with me right now, maybe it was too much to play the [Reminiscent Sounds of the Guqin immortal] i'll try to play a short tune from [Guqin Sage Diary]'

"Ok RenRen im gonna play another tune, listen closely!"

*Strum*

Minutes go by until the finale.

Ren wakes up out of a trance again after hearing just one sound he got sucked in. "Big Sis, I know you're playing games right now. HMPH" pouting and turning his head away Ren feels like he got played.

'THAT'S IT YOU LITTLE BRAT HAVE A TASTE OF MY [Heavenly Sound]'

"Little Ren, big sis will play 1 more and only 1 more. you need to listen closely" internally grinning like a devil incarnate..

A holy being resorting to such tricks with a 'mortal boy' tsk tsk.

'ok now i know it wasnt grams secret.. What is going on here? Why is it mid and not initial? What's the use of all this?'

As he was pondering the song finally ended.

"How was it, little Ren?"

"A-Mei-Zing Big Sis hehehe. you are really talented!" Ren spoke truthfully

A sense of accomplishment arose within Mei Ji, satisfied she replied "Thank you little brother, you praise me too much"

"Not at all Big Sis! Thank you for playing with me! I'm gonna go take a nap! I'm very sleepy now" Ren said with a yawn.

'This boy didn't even learn anything!! how am i supposed to teach him when all he does is snipe sweets from Grandma and make me play with him'

"Ok little Ren, tomorrow we will study! Meet at the library at 11am."

"Yes big sister"

'Study? No, I wanna play. Books are for noobs' he doesn't know where his vocabulary comes from but he speaks to himself from the heart.
