Chapter 4

Noah felt Sarah freeze in her place for a second. But, she soon returned to her original composer. However, her next words made Noah shocked.

"He's no longer alive" It was Noah's turn to freeze now. 'no longer alive ? as in her heart or....' he suddenly stopped. Even if he had loved Sarah all his life, he could never think something like death about Mike.

Mike was his friend. Best friend infact. He just lost touch with everyone after highschool due to his father's buisness that he had to look after.

"You're thinking wrong" came a cold voice of the girl sitting beside him. "what do you mean by I'm thinking wrong ?" he asked. Almost scared. He wished Mike was well and running around like he used to always. "He's really dead. His death anniversary is today infact. The reason why I am back to this country. Now that you're here, let's go visit him together." with that said, she made a sharp turn on the road. "ugh.... can't you drive like a woman atleast now. you still drive just like a hooligan." Noah stated out. He then started thinking again 'what the hell-is going on" but before he could think further, they had already parked outside a cemetery. "what the fuck-"

He was in a complete daze 'what the hell are we doing here-' before he could think further, the other party had already got out of the car and closed it harshly.

Noah saw as the figure started disappearing in the dark and came out of the car and followed Sarah behind.

After sometime, they stood infront of a grave. As Noah saw the name inscription on the plate, he was shocked. seeing his shocked face,Sarah smiled bitterly and said "it's been three years Noah. I wanted to call you and tell you everything but you never read my messages or accepted my calls so I eventually stopped all that" as she said so, a lone tear left her eyes.

Noah stated speaking again "What the fuck Sarah"

"what" she asked

"WHAT? DID YOU JUST SAY WHAT ?!!" Noah gripped Sarah's shoulder and continued saying " I haven't met you for years and the first thing after meeting you is hearing that my best friend is dead." Noah said as he too could no longer control his tears

"WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED SARAH WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING SPEAK!!!!" he almost started shouting and was going to continue but stopped when he saw the trembling figure.

"I TRIED CALLING YOU. BUT YOU. YOU NEVER ANSWERED MY CALLS. do you know how I felt. how I felt all this while seeing that the person i loved slipped into coma ? NO. NO YOU DON'T KNOW I felt useless Noah. USELESS. I couldn't save him. only because I did not have the money to pay for the surgeries." Sarah sobbed as she slowly feel on the ground while holding Noah's arms.

Noah saw the girl who was sobbing and crying and he too bent down on his knee and hugged her. as he whispered

"Sarah"
