A few moments later, Sun Ren and Sun Quan appeared before Mu Lan with a frown on their faces, clearly unhappy about Mu Lan's rudeness.

"Even if you are the head of the Mu Family, the Sun Family is not a place where you can act as you please, Patriarch Mu." Sun Quan said to him.

"Why did you even come here? If you are here to talk about my daughter being too intimate with her cousin, then I have nothing left to say." Sun Ren sighed.

"Sun Family! My Mu family must look like fools in your eyes right about now, huh?!" Mu Lan's face fumed, his forehead popping with veins.

The Sun couple exchanged puzzled glances with each other before speaking, "What are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb! That man with the mask simply cannot just be a cousin! After all, we have caught them red-handed kissing each other in public!" Mu Lan revealed to them the reason he was there.

"W-What?!" Sun Ren's eyes widened with shock, as she couldn't believe what she'd just heard.

'They kissed in public? Why would they do something that scandalous in public? They cannot be that stupid!' Sun Ren pondered inwardly.

"What proof do you have that they kissed in public?" Sun Quan suddenly asked.

"Oh? You don't know? My Mu Family has been tailing them for the past week, silently watching their every movement! And just some time ago, we caught them kissing at the Jade Rabbit Restaurant!"

The frown on Sun Ren's face deepened. 'There's no way that mere lackeys from the Mu Family could tail someone at the Heavenly Spirit Realm without being noticed! This is clearly a trap! However, I still can't tell if it's a trap for the Mu Family or for us!'

"S-Su Yang…?" Mu Lan stood there with a dazed expression. He did not immediately recognize this name, but after pondering for a few seconds, his eyes widened from shock after realization.

"Oh no! Do not do anything rash, my son!" Mu Lan immediately turned around and rushed out of the Sun Family with his body soaked with cold sweat.

"Should we follow him?" Sun Quan mumbled.

"Of course." Sun Ren nodded.

It was obvious where Mu Lan was headed, so they proceeded to follow him.

Meanwhile, at the Jade Rabbit Restaurant, one of the most successful luxury restaurants in the city, Su Yang and Sun Jingjing were casually eating spiritual meat as though it were common food.

Suddenly, in the midst of their lunch, a commotion erupted near the entrance of the restaurant.

"Young Master Mu?! What are you doing— Ah!"

Mu Shun stomped into the restaurant like an angry elephant a few seconds later, even kicking the waitress out of the way.

The people inside the restaurant stopped eating to watch the scene, as they were all aware of why the Young Master of the Mu Family would appear in this place and with such a heated temper.

"Uh oh, Young Master Mu is finally here." One of the patrons there mumbled.

"He must have heard of what happened already…"

"Took him long enough."

While the patrons mumbled to each other, Mu Shun scanned the restaurant with his narrowed eyes until he noticed the beautiful lady sitting near the back of the restaurant.

At first glance, he was dazed by Sun Jingjing's beauty, but when he remembered why he'd gone there, he stomped towards them with his round stomach jiggling along the way.

"Sun Jingjing, what is the meaning of this?! Just who the hell is this man?!"

When Mu Shun finally arrived at their table, Sun Jingjing and Su Yang stopped eating to look at the short yet round figure standing before them.

However, when Sun Jingjing did not respond to his question, Mu Shun continued to speak, "I am asking you a question, Sun Jingjing! Don't think I am not aware that you'd kissed this man some time ago in this restaurant! You are supposed to be my woman, and we are even engaged! If you don't want me to kill him, I demand answers!"

"I can ask you the same question," Su Yang suddenly said as he elegantly wiped his lips with a piece of cloth. "Which imbecile let his pig out of the cage? It's ruining my appetite."

However, Su Yang remained sitting there with a calm expression and spoke, "Even if you somehow manage to kill me today, you still won't be a man, as you were never human in the first place."

The laughter at the place became even louder with the amount of people laughing increasing.

"Die for me, you bastard!" Mu Shun suddenly swung his sword at Su Yang, causing the laughing to instantly disappear.

The people there held their breath as the sword in Mu Shun's grasp quickly fell towards Su Yang's face.

And when everybody there expected him to dodge the sword strike, Su Yang decided to remain sitting there without moving even a muscle, shocking everybody there.

"He's dead!"

However, when the sword finally landed on Su Yang's head, it did not even manage to cut a single hair on Su Yang, much less kill him.

"W-What?!"

The people there gasped in shock, their eyes wide with disbelief.

Mu Shun stared at his sword and Su Yang's head with a dazed face, but as though he could not comprehend the situation, he retrieved the sword and attacked again.

This time, he pushed the sword's tip directly between Su Yang's eyes.

A second later, Mu Shun felt his sword penetrate something hard, causing a grin to appear on his face.

But alas, when he realized that his sword had only managed to pierce the mask on Su Yang's face but not his skin, his entire body stood there as though it was frozen in time.

"You have now struck me twice with the intent to kill me. If I kill you now, nobody would complain, right?" Su Yang suddenly said in a calm voice, and his gaze flickered with killing intent.

"Hiiii!"

As though his soul was forcibly awakened by something terrifying, Mu Shun immediately jumped back with a horrified expression.

"W-Who are you?!" he cried out loud.

Su Yang slowly stood up and removed the cracked mask on his face, revealing his handsome facial features to everyone there.

However, the people there did not immediately recognize him, as nobody there was at the Regional Tournament to see him fight, and he was not wearing his uniform from the Profound Blossom Sect.

As far as they were concerned, and in the eyes of these people, Su Yang was just some exceedingly handsome young man with an unknown background right now.

At that moment, Mu Shun, eldest son of the Mu Family, died from heartbreak after receiving what is possibly one of the worst rejections one could receive from their sweetheart — and before so many people in public, no less.

"What…? Is he really dead?"

The spectators were in disbelief, as this is their first time witnessing someone die after being rejected.

"Being rejected is probably not the only reason for his death. He probably also had a weak heart since he was obese to begin with…"

"Y-Y-You killed my son!" Mu Lan turned to look at Sun Jingjing and blamed her for Mu Shun's death.

"I would've actually preferred killing him with my own hands, but he just had to die so pathetically..." Sun Jingjing sighed with a vicious feeling in her eyes as she stared at Mu Lan in the eyes.

"You bitch!"

As if he'd lost all reason from the death of his son, Mu Lan suddenly retrieved a Heaven-grade spiritual sword from his storage ring and quickly aimed for Sun Jingjing.

"Jingjing!"

Her parents were instantly alerted by Mu Lan's actions, but alas, they were simply too far away and too slow to do anything.

At least that would've been more satisfying."

While she was being introduced by Qiuyue, Xiao Rong approached her with a calm expression.

"You've become prettier, Lu Lifen," he said with a handsome smile.

"And you are as slick as ever."

Indeed, this pretty young lady was Lu Lifen, someone he'd met at the Chamber of Embrace when he was still a mere Inner Court Disciple.

"What a bold girl, kissing Su Yang before so many people." Bai Lihua mumbled after witnessing the scene.

"Isn't she the youngest daughter from the Lu Family? I have done business with them before." Wang Shuren said, and she continued, "I didn't expect them to have such a relationship."
