Chapter 56 Dunkirk

satisfied with lunch, and Susan was fed, Peggy was so ready to spread chaos to the Germans everywhere as she's still in full mother's fury mode, and Steve barely managed to pacify her, but only a tiny bit when he promised her a full night of multiple rounds of lovemaking, intending to play with Susan lots this afternoon and evening to tire her out to have a full night's sleep for the first time.

"I'll be sure to make us a big meal for dinner since we'll be jumping into Holland tomorrow morning.

Those airborne troops are dropping in broad daylight and will need all the help.", Steve told Peggy as she played with Susan not too long after lunch.

"Make something nice for Susan too, will you? At least something she can eat.", Peggy smiled as she heard Susan burp from her lunch. "She's certainly a big eater...".

Steve nodded, "But of course, Peggy. I was thinking about roasted bananas & cinnamon baby food

puree, next to apples puree.", and Susan blinked in surprise, and clapped her hands happily.

Peggy laughed, "You'll have to wait, my little miracle. I'll come back in time to see you try them out, okay?".

Susan pouted before babbling and nodding in understanding, and Peggy smiled, kissed her forehead,

"Atta girl.", before getting up from the playmat that Susan's on, and walked to Steve, kissing him, "And for our meal, trout or something, along with veggies, and maybe a fruit salad.".

Steve smiled, kissing her back, "I can do that, and I will even make a dessert surprise too, if I have time. And speaking of time, I know you, Peggy.

You will be making quick work of the Germans this afternoon, pummeling them down with all your fury. Just be careful while you do chaos, okay?".

Peggy nodded with a huff, "I'm all pent up of fury, if I can't pummel the two men who hurt our baby girl's feelings, I can pummel the Germans down.", and Steve nodded, "I won't stop you there. I'd hate to get on your bad side.

But if you are still pent up afterwards, ", before whispering into her ear, "How about four rounds of lovemaking before cuddling up for sleep at midnight?", with a small smile.

"Certainly sounds like a good idea to me...", Peggy chuckled as Steve gave her a few kisses on the cheek before she playfully swatted him away. "Steve, not in front of Susan!", She laughed.

"She's a smart girl, she knows that her parents like to have some fun with each other. It makes her happy when we're happy.

Besides, who knows when we might get that sort of chance again for the time being? If Monty's plan does work, we'll probably be finding ourselves on the front for a while again.", Steve said.

"They can't have us continually on the frontline, can they? Not with Susan and all, she still needs us to help take care of her at times.", Peggy gave a concerned look.

"I don't know yet. I've heard from Phillips that maybe it might be better for us to make our temporary home in Paris or even closer in Antwerp; at least so you don't have to fly long back and forth." Steve explained.

Peggy pursued her lips thoughtfully, "I'd feel better with Paris. But Antwerp is out of the question as the closer we are to the frontlines, Susan would notice more, and I don't want her to get in danger so close.".

Steve nodded, "That makes a certain lot of sense. The safer Susan is, the easier we can get back to her. Now, you better get going, my queen.", and Peggy smiled,

"Yes, Captain. I'll see you for dinner, luv.", kissing his cheek a couple of times before heading out and flamed on to fly on over England, over the Channel, and all, glad that her top speed is really fast, as close to Mach speed when she tops it.

"Mama flies faster than those new Messerschmitt 262 jet fighters or our Gloster Meteors.", Steve chuckled as he tickled Susan's cheek, causing the baby to laugh.

"Be safe, Peggy...", he said to himself as he waited for her return from the Channel ports where she was assisting in clearing them of German resistance.

The Allies were happy to see Peggy, but they realized that she was literally acting like a lioness this afternoon when she went hard and furious, making quick work on the Germans in every

Channel port which is Dieppe, Ostend, Le Havre, Boulogne, Calais, and Dunkirk.

That afternoon, once she was finished, the Nazi lost over 40,000, with another 40,000 captured.

The Germans who survived, and got captured in the process, they were terrified of Peggy from now then, with a few veterans recognizing a mother's fury in her eyes.

And the Channel ports were returned to the right hands, freed for Allied shipments once again which meant good news in changing the tide of the war even more on the side of the Allies.

And if Steve and Peggy would do the same in Holland tomorrow, oh, boy, Germany will be dwindling to low numbers in a strategic perspective.

Peggy was calmed down once she was finished, getting quite a bit of the aggression out when she broke the port garrisons, before she flew her way back to England.

It was past sundown by the time she arrived back and was already smelling dinner ready outside the home.

Peggy flamed down and smiled as she heard Steve making airplane sounds when she opened the door, seeing Steve sprinting through the kitchen and living room with his arms up above him, holding Susan in his hands, and Susan was squealing happily, her arms out.

Phillips then realized that he had earned her respect and much more, and he smiled softly, for he now would give his life for Susan as she has now permanently a place in his heart.

And so, since that moment, the granddaughter-grandfather relationship became solid as rock, with

Peggy and Steve returning around lunchtime to discover Susan's laughter and

Phillips's chuckles as they opened the door to see them in

Phillips' office, surprised to see Phillips giving a horseback ride with Susan riding on his back, with a cape tied around her neck.
