CHAPTER 3

The memory itself making his legs wobbly and mind hazy, his grip on the side of the sink loosened and he tried to grab onto his hair slowly when suddenly he was yanked on the ground as he felt a tight grip on his left arm, all of it was too quick for his mind to process he just tried to open his eyes and saw two purple coloured strands through his blurry vision, it was a girl, she looked around the same age as Ken.

She tried to slap him but Ken caught her hand. They both stared at each other's eyes intently trying to look into each other's personas behind all that external cover-up, the girl quickly retracting her hand right after a few seconds looking away from Ken, who was confused by her behaviour but still had his eyes focused on the bruises on her face.

"What the hell u d~oing in a girl's restroom?" said annoyed by Ken's constant stares in an accent.

Ken who had his eyebrows furrowed, understanding the situation he quickly got up to leave only to be pinned to the bathroom floor by the purple-haired girl who breathily whispered close to his ears

"Don't you dare tell anyone that you met me"

she warned Ren, who was too scared to respond but managed to awkwardly nod his head, tried to break free from the girl's hold and ran out of the restroom. oh, the "Girls restroom" he had entered by mistake.

Surprisingly the little encounter with the "bitchy purple lady"( at least that is what Ren thought of the purple-haired girl in his head ) distracted him from his past memory and he went to the Boys restroom and got refreshed, adjusted his clothes, and ran his hand's through his hair as an attempt to adjust his hair.

He searched for his classroom and found Nia standing there looking worried, he walked towards her. When Nia noticed Ren she quickly dragged him to the corner of the class and the first thing she did was smack his head.

"ow! what was that for ?"

Nia just furrowed her eyebrows, "WhAt WaS tHaT fOr?" she said mocking Ren,

" You dumbass what in the world happened to you, you just ran away like you saw a ghost and left me standing there alone"

Ren put his hands in his pockets and leaned on the classroom wall , a sigh leaving his mouth

"ARE U TELLING ME ??" Nia said angrily, Ren just chuckled and that and said

" Nothing "

"Nothing? huh! NothinG? so u think I am gonna believe that u just decided to have a marathon on the way to school out of nowhere without informing me, idiot "

"NOTHING ! my foot," she said angrily

She stepped on Ren's foot who was now a laughing mess.

"Ok now leave that topic, tell me what class do we have first thing in the morning ?"

"physics," said the orange-haired guy from earlier, " and you must be the newbie am I right nia?

"Yup, Sean this is Ren, and Ren this is sean "

Sean raised his hand forward to greet Ren but raised his brows when Ren just stared at his hand , so he retracted his hand back letting out an awkward chuckle,

" Guess the newbie isn't too friendly ha ha.." sean said scratching the back of his neck

Nia shot a glance at Ren, to which he just raised his eyebrows,

"Oh that's not true heh heh he just needs some time to open up to new people"

she said to break the awkward silence.

Sean nodded and went back to his seat.

" Hey, can you please behave you need to be a bit social u can't always go looking for me to protect you from bullies and shit, right? This is countryside Ren, people are really social in here u can't escape your social anxiety by using your phone in the classroom it's not appreciated."

"I am not socially anxious i just don't like meeting up with new people," Ren said with a pout

" yeah yeah I have heard that 10000 times now, but you still won't tell me the reason, just go to your seat I am not talking to you"

She did not expect ren to do the same, but he did.

Ren sat at the corner seat near the window and stared out of the window, with a sigh.

~'i really hope things get better in the countryside'~ Ren thought .
