Mino stepped into the kitchen at the back of Mark's Phamacy, the warm glow of the lanterns casting a cozy light on the stone floor. Ann was already there, her eyes sparkling with anticipation as she watched him approach.
"Hey," she said, her voice low and husky.
Mino smiled, feeling a flutter in his chest. "Hey," he replied, his own voice low and rough.
They stood there for a moment, the silence between them heavy with tension. Then Mino reached out and took Ann's hand, his fingers intertwining with hers.
"I had a weird dream last night," he said, his eyes searching hers.
Ann raised an eyebrow. "What kind of weird?"
Mino shrugged. "I don't know...it was just really vivid. I dreamed I was sailing across the sea with a woman I'd never seen before. And then I woke up and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off."
