Chapter 5: Muwi

Seeing the inventory in front of Muwi i raised my brow, i look at him and ask: "What did you acquire and how did you know how to use it?"

Muwi smiled and responded while moving the fish around the inventory: "I know how the inventory works by thinking about what i gained from you, thus receiving basic information about it."

I nodded, convenient: "And about what i gained from our link.." he looked at me smugly and continued: "I gained the ability to prepare automatically the meat like you did before!"

"...."

I looked at him strangely: "That's it?" My confused face brought him back to reality and he looked at me with disappointment.

"What? It's not special?" Hmm.. so the inventory and that function is not common, not surprising.

Instead of answering i ask another thing: "Muwi, isn't the inventory common?" My question made him raise a brow and shook his head.

"No, hmm.." he looked at me and i responded: "John." He nodded and continued: "John, the inventory it's an extremely rare ability."

Ohh makes sense, no wonder he is so exited.

He then looks at me and asks: "What did you get?" Hearing his question i think about the ability and some information gets transferred on my mind.

Biwu fire.

Hmm interesting: "I got the Biwu fire." Muwi nods and looks at me with a knowing look: "Your lucky. The Biwu fire is one of the most versatile abilities in this world."

I nod while trying to create the fire but failing, Muwi adds: "You need to unlock your essence first."

Essence?

Seeing my curious face he continues: "Essence is practically the vital energy of this world. You need it to live and do many things, the strongest are the ones who have mastered it."

I nod in understanding, similar to mana, ki, chakra, qi, haki and ecc.

Basically this world power system.

"I suppose that to unlock this energy i need to do something." I say matter of factly wich Muwi nods and says while summoning some fire on one of his tails, this punk is flexing in front of me!

"Everything has essence so do you, but you can't feel it until you kill a monster, magical beast, consume a treasure or kill another fellow humanoid."

He has said humanoid more than one time, this means that we have more races, the races i made for my mod probably exist too.

I get up and stretch a lil bit, looking at the sun that is coming down i say: "Okay, let's prepare for the night. Time to work." My gaze became focused.

Muwi eats quickly the rest of the meat and jumps on my shoulder while becoming smaller with his tails merging into one.

I look at this phenomenon and turn back to my observation of the terrain i am in, but i ask two questions before starting.

"Do you know a humanoid settlement or city around here?" Muwi nods and responds while pointing his tail in front of me: "Yes, est, around two kilometers from here."

Good.

"Okay, how do you know all of this information?" I ask the last one and he smirks: "I have a lot of free time on my paws."

Makes sense.

Finished with our chat we immediately begin our work.

Since Muwi has gained some Minecraft mechanics i craft another pickaxe for him, when he touched the tool, it immediately shrunked in a comfortable size for him.

We then headed on the left where a small rocky hill was, and started mining stone.

I needed three full powered hits to break a block and needed four hits with normal power.

Crak!

I turn my head to look at Muwi and i raise my brows, that dude is mining with four times my speed using his flames.

Envy, that's the current emotion I'm feeling.

I shout at him since he is making too much noise: "Muwi! Give me the stone blocks!" My voice reaches him and he stops after breaking the last block, wich was of coal.

He runs towards me and drops the blocks wich i took while placing the crafting table.

"Can you craft?" I ask and he tilts his head in confusion, right, he doesn't know what a crafting table is so i explain to him the basics.

After some minutes of teaching he nods and says: "You are really cheating, i never heard of someone capable of creating instantly something, i even had the doubt before while using your pickaxe but your items are special." His words made me ponder.

I will be more cautious with other people about this ability of mine.

"Yeah, they are special so don't tell anyone until i say otherwise." He nods while crafting some sticks that then i turned into one pickaxe while i let him craft his own himself, he needs to learn.

I also made him craft a furnace and then we continued to mine.

....

"I found iron!" I look towards his side and saw that he dug downwards like the classic Minecraft miner like i advised him to do.

I focused more on stone and coal instead so i gave him this advice.

I direct myself towards him while noticing that it was getting a little dark, i still have some time before monsters begin to spawn.

After running down the stone i reached him, he was mining around the iron and i counted how many there were.

Five ores.

A good iron vein: "You can mine it." Muwi nods while i turn and place the fornace on the ground and putting some coal inside.

I also crafted some torches so i placed one on the area while Muwi placed the iron ore inside the formace.

I didn't forget to teach him the recipe.

Why i am trusting him so much? Well i have two motives, the first, the system, i can see the information of the entities around me so i know that he is trustworthy.

And second, trusting him is my decision, if he decides to betray me it's his choice.

After some minutes the ores were ready and i took them, placing the crafting table i crafted a shield and an iron sword, i equip the sword only and look at Muwi: "Wanna have some fun?" He smirked and we rushed outside.
