WRITERS POV

"Good morning dad.Good morning mum."David wished entering their dining area.

The Carters had a fine taste in design.The best things were bought from the worlds best places and placed in the mansion.Their house though dripped with finesse had a homey feel to it.

"Good afternoon son."His dad teased earning a shy smile from David making his mum chuckle.

"We have a party that we have to attend.I hope you remember."Mr.Carter reminded David while having his juice.

"Yeah I remember in fact I received a call from them yesterday."He shook his head.He hated these parties.Nobody cared about anyone in these events.They just presented themselves to come in the media.

"Okay then bye."He kissed his wife goodbye and left.He was a true romantic.No doubt David had gotten his genes.

"No office or those boring meetings today?"His mother enquired with a boring tone.She respected their work but these men were workaholics which made her annoyed.

"No I think I am going to take a day off and rest."He winked at her.

"To what do I owe this pleasure."She teased him making him pout. "Oh come on don't pout.We'll have some mother-son time."That is what they did for the rest of the day.They talked and cooked a meal until his dad got back home.

"Come on go and get ready."His mother shooed him away as soon as his father entered.He agreed and went to get ready.

He took a shower and then changed into his suit.His sprayed his perfume put on his rolex watch which his mother had gifted him.He was ready.His hair styled to perfection and a slight stubble on his face.His face having that smirk that could kill anyone.He looked like a model.

He descended the stairs and spotted his father dressed for the event. "You again decided to stay back."He asked his mother.

"Oh yes,you know how I hate these parties."She said making a face. "Off you go.Have fun."She chuckled at her last statement knowing fully well the party was going to be anything but fun.

The Carter men left in their car towards the event.The event was a Business Party of sorts hosted by a business partner in the success of his new venture.

DAVID'S POV

It was held at an amazingly expensive hotel with the paparazzi at the entrance,the cameras capturing every minute detail.Everything I hated about these social gatherings.I rolled my eyes and put my camera face on and got out of my car.I could instantly feel all eyes on me,the soft murmurings,the gasps,the shouting nothing new.I walked past everyone ignoring everything they said and entered the hotel and waited for Dad to come.

"Phew."He said as soon as he entered making me chuckle.My dad could be really dramatic sometime. "Come on lets get this over with."He buttoned his suit and walked ahead while I followed him shaking my head.

We greeted our business partners.I tagged along wherever dad went shaking hands and nodding heads. "Dad,I'll be back.I am going to get a drink."He nodded too busy to reply as he was engrossed in a conversation.I made my way towards the bar area.I sat on the bar stool tapping away on my phone.

"What can I get for you?"A girl said in the fakest voice I have ever heard.It sounded like she was screeching.

"Whiskey."I ordered not paying any heed to her.After about a minute I heard someone clear their throat.I looked up and gave the bartender my most intimidating look.She flushed and pointed towards my drink bending a little on the counter giving me a view of her chest. "Do you need anything else?"I asked being as polite as I could.

"How about 5 minutes in the restroom?"She said seductively twirling a piece of hair.Mind you she sounded like...forget it.

"You should know my answer by the look of disgust on my face."I said giving a disgusted look to her.Some people just don't take a hint.

Embarrassed she left making me take a breath of relief.I downed my drink and hurried before I encountered any other woman.I spotted my father talking to someone.I made my way towards him when I was drenched in wine.

I gave an annoyed look to the lady in red.She had managed to drop her drink on me and herself and had landed on the floor.I gave her a hand which she accepted. "Watch where you go please."I said dabbing a tissue on the stain.

"Hello Mr. it was your mistake.You couldn't watch your steps."She replied and left me hanging there with my mouth open like an idiot.

I calmed myself down and walked towards my dad. "Glad you are back.Meet Henry Parker,he was a really great friend of mine back in high school.And Henry meet my son David."He introduced us and I shook hands with him.

"Dad lets leave I am bored."Someone called Mr.Parker.That someone was the same girl.Great.

"What happened to your dress?"He asked pulling her towards him.

"Some stupid managed to."

"I am sorry but it was your mistake.You dropped your drink on me."I intervened and stopped her abruptly.

"Looks like you guys have met already."My dad said earning a look from me. "No worries we'll be meeting tomorrow properly.I have called them for dinner tomorrow."My dad informed and I resisted rolling my eyes.

"See you tomorrow then?" Dad looked at Mr.Parker for confirmation and he nodded.

We bid bye and left the party.I was glad that it was over.Not a second of it was great or nice.We reached home and obviously mum was waiting for us to listen to all the juicy details.She could be a gossip girl whenever she wanted.I royally ignored her and climbed the stairs.

"What has got him all grumpy?"She asked merrily.She loved seeing me in a sour mood.

I climbed the stairs just in time to not hear the answer my father gave her.I quickly got into my boxers and dozed off hoping that a meeting lands up so that I could skip that horrific dinner and miss seeing that girls face.
