[3rd Person's POV]

It's been a month since the meeting between Jiraya, Minato and Kushina.

The sun was shining bright in the morning and the citizens of Konoha started their day, and the streets were bustling with citizens going around. And in the middle of the village we could see a large red building which was the hokage tower. Inside the Hokage tower was the office of the Hokage, and we could see the current and the third hokage, Hiruzen Saurutobi undoing the seal which was in his office room's door to unlock it.

He entered the room and sighed at the sight of his stacks of paperwork which he had to complete within tomorrow, He sensed 4 Anbus enter the room just like usual for his protection,

'Like I need it'

He thought and made 2 shadow clones to help him complete the work, He avoids using it too much as it further increases his already stressful workload.

'Maybe I should start smoking'

A stray thought suddenly spawned itself in his mind which he quickly crushed, like his wife would allow that,

'I'm already sleeping on the couch for coming home late'

A few hours passed and he finished his last stack of work. He should decide whether to approve or not and checked the time to see it was 4:49 p.m.

He heard someone knock at the door and sensed it was his once-best friend, Danzo Shimura.

'So he still has some manners left in him'

"Come in Danzo"

He called as the door opened and Danzo entered. He had shaggy black hair that reached till his eyes and had brown eyes. He had a unique 'X' cross scar on his chin. He had a scroll in his hand and stood in front of Hiruzen.

"The Uzugakure is no longer replying to our signals and the team that went to investigate had not returned so it's safe to assume that the old leader was overthrown and we're no longer allies anymore. They want to establish themself as the next great ninja village."

Danzo said with a cold and unexpressive tone and face, He handed the scroll to Hiruzen who read its contents with a grim face.

"So what's the reaction of Kumo and Iwa"

Hiruzen asked as only their kage was on his level. The third Raikage, A, is a beast of a man said to have the strongest spear and shield, defeated and sealed eight-tails just by himself, a feat only performed by the first hokage, and The third Tsuchikage, Onoki renowned for having a kekki genkai and kekki tota, lava release and dust release. He may be a dwarf but his strength is no joke.

"Iwa took over Kusagakure, and Kumo took over Kumogakure. They are getting ready for war Hiruzen! And we are losing our allies! Do you just want to sit here and do nothing?"

Danzo for the first time had any emotion on his face while shouting at Hiruzen,

"You fucker! Do you think sitting on my ass and doing all this goddamn paperwork is easy and convenient? I hardly have time to sleep and train!"

Hiruzen feeling annoyed at his evident jealousy reacted harshly,

"Go to investigate Shuna's and Kiri's movements along with Koharu and homura" Hiruzen handed him a scroll that contained the mission details and told Dazo to get out,

"Dismissed"

Hiruzen stood up from his seat and looked at the village from the window in the office, thinking of the inevitable ninja war,

'The next war will start within the next three years. All the other villages will come for a piece of meat, and there's no doubt that we will have to face all of them. Sigh, we can't even use the jinchuriki. No doubt nine-tails will go on a rampage and kill both sides and flee. It seems like we will have to rush things a little Mito-sama.

Hiruzen looked at his two other clones and nodded his head slightly and the clones immediately understood the meaning and nodded back. He [Body Flickered] himself to the roof of the building and went in the direction of the Senju compound.

Mito who was teaching Minato and Kushina how to hold their breath for a long time using wind chakra while trapping them both in [Water Prison] sensed Hiruzen coming towards them and undid the water prison when Hiruzen appeared and greeted them,

"Hello Mito-sama, Hi kids"

He sweatdropped at the sight of Mito's 'Training' method which very much looked like torture and investigation tricks and wondered how Minato, who didn't have uzumaki level vitality to survive, unlike Kushina.

"Why are You here Monkey?"

They both fell down because of the sudden release of the jutsu and Kushina fell on the ground while Minato twisted his body to land on his feet and smirked at Kushina but never the less offered his hand to help her get up.

" "Good Morning hokage-sama" "

Mito saw his hesitation to talk about the matter in front of the kids and said,

"Don't hesitate because of them, it's time they take things seriously" she said as both Minato and Kushina had a serious look on their faces. Hiruzen saw that and said with a grim expression,

"The Second Shinobi war is going to start within the next three years, And Uzugakure is no longer our ally. Kumo and Iwa are gathering their forces."

Both Kushina and Minato had their eyes widened and Mito just sighed knowingly. She told Minato and Kushina to continue practicing and asked Hiruzen to come inside the home.

"I request you to allow Minato to be on a team with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, We are in dire need of talented shinobis and even though he is as strong as a Jonin his experience is still lacking."

"Are we that desperate Hiruzen?" Mito asked as she raised a barrier to make sure the mischievous red fox didn't hear anything,

"We can fight against 3 other ninja villages in a stand still without nine-tails but if Iwa and Kumo decided to go for our head while our strong fighters are fighting somewhere else it's tough."

"So, what's your plan?"

"Well, that is considering the location of the battle, but I plan to assign Jiraya, Sakumo, and Orochimaru Against Iwa, while I'll be against Kumo and Tsunade and Inabi Uchiha will be against Suna while the Ino-shika-cho family will be fighting against Kiri, each will lead our own battle units."

"So what would you do if they all decided to form an alliance against us? Even though it's highly unlikely."

"We'll fight them all" That was his reply while a wave of chakra gushed out of him and the ground beneath him cracked.

Mito smiled at his response and asked,

"So was he being controlled?"

"No, When I summoned Kagami's crow which had his Mangekyou sharingans to use its left eye's ability, which cures a body from any external harmful chakra and disease it didn't change a thing." Replied Hiruzen with sadness and disappointment evident in his voice.

"Don't be disappointed in yourself, you did nothing wrong, That's how humans change with time and power." Mito consoled him and looked out at the training field from the room's window and smiled at the sight of Kushina dragging Minato.

[A While Before]

[Kushina's POV]

I was shocked to hear the news that Uzumakis are no longer allies with Konoha, does this mean I will have to go back to my village? That place was hell! They always fight among themself and my parents sent me here only because they wanted to focus their attention on my MALE brother who had Kagura's Mind.

I didn't notice Minato who saw my sad face and hugged me from the side,

"Are you OK?"

I came out of my shock after his question and smiled at my own childish thoughts, Who am I kidding? I am the next jinchuriki of nine-tails, Konoha will wage war if I'm called back.

"Yeah, just thinking about what to do if war really starts?"

I could see that he was still not sure if I was okay with his look, heh he looks really cute when he looks like that. It feels good seeing him concerned about me. I smiled at him and decided to abandon this torture of training and dragged him to a tall tree near us.

"Why are you dragging me here?"

Hearing his question I just put my finger in his mouth to make him shut up. I walked to the top of the tree while he followed me behind. I knew he was tired today as Oba-san told him to achieve Nature Transformation in Lightning within the end of this week and he only completed the second step till now.

I sat on top of a tree branch facing the sunset and Minato sat next to me,

"Say Minato, We'll be friends forever right?"

I don't know why but I had a sudden urge to ask him that,

"Of course, we will be, Unless you don't want me to."

He answered while trying to tease me at the end which made me pinch his hip,

"Ouchh" he winched,

"That's what you get for trying to be funny idiot," I said and released his hip from my pinch and looked at him in amusement as he yawned while stretching his arms,

"Yawn~, Using chakra too much really drains my energy, I'm gonna take a nap don't disturb me"

He said and leaned on the tree trunk beside him and closed his eyes. After a few moments, his breathing became even and his body became relaxed. His face looked really peaceful and relaxed. His bright blonde hair swayed in the wind and there was a small amount of drool coming from his mouth, hehe a new teasing material. I smiled at him and I unknowingly got very close to the side of his face. I could feel my heartbeats increasing. I slightly kissed his cheek and felt the warmth of his skin. It felt really nice and realizing what I just did I jumped off the tree and ran to my room in a stuttering mess while trying to hide my blushing face with my hands.

[Minato's POV]

I woke up after who knew how many hours cause of the mosquitoes and immediately entered my [Lightning Mode] to fry those abominations and saw that the sky was dark. Really Kushina leaving me alone for teasing you? Heh.

I jumped off the tree and landed on the ground, I stretched my body and took a running pose as I bolted off, this time without leaving much traces of lighting behind me as I have complete the second step of achieving Nature Change/Transformation in Lightning, that is to control the power of the lightning which was not as hard as the first step as I already could control the lightning's flow. Now there's only one step remaining which is to sense and use naturally produced lightning. I ran towards my house and took a bath.

After eating like usual I started reading the notes of Tobirama Senju-sama. I've already read about most of his theories from how chakra worked to the detailed explanation of Sharingan, And sheesh! Words can't express how surprised I was when I found out about Mangekyou. If [Adamantine Sealing Chains] were broken, the Sharingans just went 'Bet'. Like having the powers you desire the deepest though it comes at the loss of a loved one, a sacrifice I will never make.

I turned the pages as I read through, and came to the section which contained the jutsus he invented. The first part of it contained many basic jutsus he modified like [Water Dragon] jutsu which required 47 seals to create and he just went ahead and did it in 3. I should show these water jutsus to Kushina and learn them myself in the future.

When I reached the second half which had all the forbidden jutsus he created in his lifetime, It had jutsus from [Multiple Shadow Clone] to [Summoning: Reanimation Jutsu] which revives the dead at the cost of a sacrifice and seals to make [Tandem Paper Bombs] which could theoretically exploded endlessly as long as chakra is provided.

Now I know why Mito-sensei said to not use any of these jutsus without my permission, but heh, a grin formed on my face as I furthered the principles behind the jutsus. She said nothing about learning it. I will still learn it, Now that war could start at any moment I will definitely be ordered to fight, so I have to have some trump cards. Kushina's safe as she would be kept inside the village till the Nine-tailed fox is sealed inside her. I still have to find a way to escape from those chains of hers.

I memorized the seal to make the [Tandem Paper Bombs] and learned about [Summoning: Reanimation Jutsu] it works on summoning the Yin energy of the dead person from who knows the dead realm using the person's body part including nails and hair and mixes with the sacrifices yang energy and will totally consume the sacrifice's Yin energy to reanimate the dead person, the reanimated person can't feel anything and does not have the need to eat, rest, drink. They will regenerate forever and can only be unsummoned by the summoner. The reanimated person can easily escape the control of the summoner if they know the required signs or are much stronger than the summoner. The strength of the reanimated person depends on your proficiency to manipulate Yin energy which is incredibly hard.

That's a no-no for me, It doesn't suit my fighting style and I want to be strong, not rely on someone stronger than me who could escape my control at any moment. I just learned the hand signs for the jutsu and moved on to the next jutsu.

[Flying Raijin Jutsu]

I read about the jutsu and got excited to the point where all my teeth were visible on my face. I couldn't help it. It was like this Jutsu was made especially for me. It required knowledge about seals, which I had. To sense chakra, which I could even though not as much as Kushina whose range was 900 meters at her maximum concentration while mine was only 710 meters not much behind hers. And have very fast reflexes. This is going to be my strongest and most versatile jutsu.

It allowed one to teleport anywhere around 1 meter from the Kunai which has the seal. One should be able to sense the exact location of the seal and use the Jutsu to teleport.

This is the exact thing I need to escape those cursed chains. I saw that it needed a hand seal to teleport but the molding needed to teleport is not that hard to do without hands and even still it only had a single seal.

I read about it with my full concentration and slowly drifted to sleep cause of the day's tiredness.
