Ancient box

Millian was sitting down in the midst of her girlfriends from collage they sat on a table in the bar, Millian was body present but absent minded she wished so hard that she could turn back the hands of time. Several times Jessica one of her closet friend called out to her but it seemed to hv fallen on deaf ears not untill Agatha also a close friend of hers who sat next to her tapped her on her shoulders then she regained conciousness both friends of hers looked at her with a worried expression asking her to late the past go....

Millian is a tall, slim and fair pretty girl with brown hair reaching her shoulder length...that night she wore a simple long grey gown perfectly fitted on her and a flat shoe matching her gown, Millian is a woman in her early twenties she is the first daughter of her parents Mr. and Mrs Coam she has a younger sister Sofier who is still three years old in kindergertin Millian is an office worker in the event management department her parents always disturbed her with the issue of marriage after she got a house of her own( bungalow) while Agatha is fat and a bit taller than Millian she wore a black shirt, a brown trouser that looked a little tight on her and on her long brownish looking her she wore a brown cap Agatha is equally in her early twenties and Jessica who was the shortest of the tree, fair in complexion and equally as slim as Millian she wore a dark pink shirt with a light pink trousery to match and nothing on her black curly hair Jessica is also in her early twenties......

That night while the three closest friends hurried back to their various homes because it was late in the night, they walked a little till they got to a stop where they stopped a taxi and hopped inside, on their way Millian remembered that she had forgotten her handset and purse at the bar they were in earlier she hurriedly asked the girls to go ahead without her and quickly got off from the taxi and rushed back to the bar. When she got there luckily for her she found her things safe the way she left them she quickly took them with her and left the bar...

On her way home while she walked to the main road where she could get a taxi she saw an old friendly looking lady who was about to cross the road but her black heavy looking bag fell on the road and few of her items inside that bag fell out Millian quickly walked towards her and helped the old lady pick up her belongings among the things that fell was an old small golden box which had faded Millian picked it up and handed it over to the old lady. As a reward for helping the old lady cross the road that night the old lady gave the box to Millian although Millian refused to take it but after much persuasion from the old lady Millian thankfully took it. The old lady asked her to take good care of it for it was a very precious treasure and that she should make good use of it....

After Millian left the presence of the old lady she thought to herself and hoped that she gave the ancient box to the right person shortly after this the old lady turned back to watch Millian walking at a far distance and then disappeared.....while Millian was still ahead she turned back at the old lady's direction to make sure that she was safely walking but couldn't see her ....Millian felt it was weird but what was most weird was the golden faded box she was given and the words that came with it.....

When Millian finally got home she took a shower and after bathing wore her milkish night gown and laid down on her bed ready to sleep she couldn't fall asleep not quite long she got a call it was from Jessica who called to make sure she got home safely after the call Millian took out a picture looking at the picture drops of tears started rolling down her chick she cried bitterly holding the picture she took with Michael, her ex boyfriend. Michael was her boyfriend untill yesterday when he broke up with her leaving her with no particular reason for the break up it did not only stop at that, she discovered the fact the he was cheating on her before the break up Millian blamed herself for being an introvert and also inexperienced with relationships but she couldn't change who she was even if she tried to be fun while Millian cried that night she fell asleep.

It is already Monday morning Millian had to get up early for work which she usually does as early as always after taking her bath and getting dressed for work she heads to work. The people at her work place are very friendly to both co-workers and customers Millian's boss is a lady in her early fifths but rumor has it that she is not the real boss but she manages the company for the real boss whom none of the workers know. After a long stressful day of filling document, files and attending important meetings within the company it was time for closure which was usually at 6pm Millian still remained in the office to finish up some unfinished documents for the day.

It was getting extremely late before Millian finished her work she quickly tidied up her desk and left the company she finally got on a taxi after a long wait the driver seemed to be an old grandpa who engaged in a conversation with her after exchanging pleasantries he told her a story about an ancient box which was handed down from generations to generations he told her the story of hw it was handed over to a young child in a noble family she took very good care of it and when she had a very terrible illness she opened the box and drank the liquid inside it and got better the old taxi driver wasn't willing to complete the story but Millian was very interested in the story that she asked him to continue Millian wasn't aware that they were already at her destination because of hw engrossed she was with his story the old grandpa asked her if he was at her destination then she realised she was already at home and got off from the taxi she handed him his money but he refused collecting it and asked her to keep it that the ride was free she was a little surprised at home immediately her phone rang she picked it up and while backing the taxi she made her short call she was conversing with her mother who called to check up on her after the call she turned her back to attend to the taxi driver but he was gone she was shocked and wondered how he left without a single noise or trace.......
