Midnight Rainbows

It is her first day in attending university but she can feel her hands getting cold and sweaty. She doesn't know why she is nervous but the curse of the twins keeps on repeating in her mind. She doesn't want to take a step as she is standing behind the line that will change her life.

She took a deep breath and encouraged herself to get inside the premises already since she will still need to look for her room assignments. She was about to take a step when someone suddenly bumped her, almost making her kiss the ground.

She furrowed her brows and looked at the person who just bumped her but after a second, she lifted her brows when she saw a guy wearing a plain white shirt and black pants. A tint of red appeared on her cheeks when the guy looked at her.

She slowly bowed her head instead and the guy just gave her an innocent smile. It is love at first sight, they say. Her reverie is now cut off when she heard the bell ringing. Her eyes widened and she got her class schedule from her bag.

She ran inside the premises and when she saw a guard, she asked him where is Room 409 located. The guard gave her the directions and she quickly bowed her head as a thanks.

At last, she finally found the room. She was about to open the door when she felt someone behind her. She looked at it and saw that it is the guy earlier. She blushed furiously when his manly scent reached her nose.

'He’s so cool.' She thought and the guy opened the door for them. She looked around and saw that the professor is not yet there.

"Safe." She mumbled and looked for a vacant seat. She saw one at the uppermost part and she ran towards it to have a seat already.

She placed her bag on the empty seat besides her and checked her class schedule once more. She nodded her head when she is right with the time and room.

"Would you mind if I have the seat besides you?" She heard a soft voice from her left and she saw the guy. She got her mouth open when she heard his voice.

'His voice is a turn off.' She thought but she shook her head and got her bag to place it on her lap.

"There." She whispered and she quickly got her phone from her pocket. She needs to tell to the twins what just happened.

"Are you taking Psychology, too?" The guy asked and she nodded her head before smiling at him. She sent the twins a message that she found someone who looks so manly but a turn off when finally heard the voice.

"I'm Yamada Riku and you are?" She looked at the guy again and introduced herself with a forced smile.

"I'm Yoshida Ichika. It’s nice to meet you." Riku smiled at her and held her hand for a handshake. His hand is much larger than hers, so when she looked at it, his hand is almost covering her hand.

The class has started and since it is only the first day, the professor asked them to introduce themselves. It is just a piece of cake for her and when it is her seatmate's turn already, the professor asked him to sing.

She wants to laugh, thinking that he will not be able to sing but she is wrong. Her eyes widened when they heard his singing voice. It is very much different from his talking voice. Everyone stared at him in awe and she can't admit to herself that she just made herself a clown.

Riku bowed his head and smiled at everyone after singing. He took his seat again and looked at Ichika. He reached for her hair and tucked it behind her ear. She got surprised with it but he smiled at her.

"You're more beautiful than I thought." Her heart started to beat so fast and her face turned tomato.

"Stop saying nonsense things." She almost stuttered but she did her best to shoo those butterflies in her stomach away. She cleared her throat and focused on her phone instead.

She will meet the twins later since they learned about Riku. Takeuchi Mizuki, one of the twins asked her to bring Riku later but she said no. Why would she bring Riku to the café later? Who is he, anyways? Aside from he is a seatmate, he is also her classmate but it doesn't mean she will bring him to introduce him to the twins.

Ichika smiled widely when she saw the twins waiting for her at the café. She waved her hand and Mizuki immediately saw her but she gave the twins a questioning look when Makoto, the older twin pointed at something. She looked at her right and saw Riku. She didn't know that he followed her. Riku smiled at her and she had no choice but to let him sit with them.

"Who is he?" Mizuki quickly asked and Riku introduced himself to the twins. Mizuki's mouth went 'o' and she gave him an innocent smile.

"Are you Ichika's stalker?" She is looking at the menu book and she almost had a heart attack. Riku laughed at Mizuki's question and shook his head.

"I'm just curious about her, so I followed her here." She gave him a look. Isn't that stalking but in other term? She called for a waiter and she gave her orders.

"Iced coffee for me as well." Riku added and Mizuki asked for burger and fries while Makoto asked for chicken sandwich.

"Why are you curious about Ichika?" Mizuki asked and Ichika can't believe that this little girl is interrogating Riku. Right. In. Front. Of. Her.

"She is the first classmate I saw this morning. I didn't know that she is my classmate until we arrived at the classroom. Also, isn't she beautiful?" Her eyes widened and Makoto chuckled at Riku's answer.

"If you will love her in the future, what will you do for her?" It is Makoto's turn to ask and she badly wants to bury herself in her seat.

"I will do anything for her. I will do my best for her. Besides, if you love someone, you will treat her like a queen, right?" She shut her eyes closed as she feels a headache coming.

The waiter came back with their orders but Riku asked if they still want to order more but the twins shook their heads. He also asked Ichika but she is fine with her iced coffee already. He asked for the bill and decided to pay for everyone.

"Did I pass the first exam already?" Riku asked and the twins gave him thumbs up. He chuckled softly and looked at Ichika who is quiet the whole time.

"I'm entrusting her to you, Riku-san. I hope you will take care of her." Mizuki bowed her head respectfully at Riku and she can't believe that the twins sold her easily to a stranger.
