Alone

It's been a few weeks since they revealed their mutual feelings. And as the time flowed, their cold façade and unwavering hearts began to melt.

Li Shan was eating the food brought in by a nurse, and he laughed softly when he remembered the murderous looks his girl threw at the woman when she was flaunting her big breasts under his nose.

It seemed like vinegar was dripping from her face.

Her dark yet beautiful eyes glared at him coldly.

"What?", she threatened him.

"Are you jealous??"

"I'm not! Why should I be?", her unusually aggrieved face made his throat dry, he quickly drank water to quench his thirst as he looked at her slightly coquettish eyes.

"You don't have to be jealous; I will never look at any other woman than you."

Li Shan stared at the food he had yet to finish. He put down his chopsticks and decided that he would starve for a few days from now on, his Queen should be pampered.

The bigshot girl smiled in satisfaction.

Right now, the cold-blooded Queen was in front of him a mischievous little princess.

And as they became closer, the darkness in her world seemed to be swallowed by his light little by little, and the same goes for Li Shan.

"Do you like her size?", Shen Jin's tone was challenging and cold.

Li Shan looked at her, confused like a lost puppy. Shen Jin caught his cute expression and almost wavered in her resolution.

Swallowing her embarrassment, she took a deep breath and decided that she would still do it.

"Although I'm a ghost, I will let you witness that the size doesn't matter", her eyes were determined as she tugged at her shirt.

Li Shan froze as he could only helplessly watch as she undid the first button of her dark loose shirt. He didn't know that ghost could remove their clothes, however, he knew that this was dangerous.

The man's eyes trailed over the fair skin that was slowly appearing behind the layer that was slowly removed.

A fire surged inside of him, his eyes were red and filled with love and desperation, his heartbeat increasing as she undid another button, he suddenly caught the sight of a white and sexy bra.

His chest was heaving up and dawn, his jaw tensed as he could only watch her skin become red of excitement.

Shen Jin was aware of what she was doing, her heart was racing and her eyes were moist and alluring, her fingers slightly trembled.

Li Shan suddenly stretched his arm toward her as if he wanted to tidy her up but stopped midair remembering that she was actually a ghost. He could only helplessly as the room became thick of an ambiguous air.

Suddenly, their eyes met as she undid the last button. Li Shan was burning hot.

"So, who is better?", her shivering voice rang as she let her shirt slide and revealed herself to him.

"Jinjin", his whisper was filled with love and adoration, his pupils dilated, and he wanted to hold this naughty girl against him forever.

But before he could make a move, sudden cries interrupted the heavy air full of temptation. A nurse barged in the room with a wheelchair and said: "Quick, we have to evacuate!!"

Li Shan and Shen Jin froze.

"What happened?", his cold voice ran a chill down the nurse's spine but she quickly said:

"Armed men!! We have to evacuate!", her tone was urgent as she urged him.

"No.", the man's firm voice rang, he didn't want to leave, what if he never saw Shen Jin again, he would rather die.

"Shan", Shen Jin's voice whispered. This was the first time she called his name, he froze and watched as she tried to caress his cheek with her palm, but failed, theirs gazes met, and her desperate eyes were red. As a killer before, she understood that the situation was dangerous when she heard the sounds of the gunshots, because she recognized the sound, as she is the one who invented those guns. That means that the mercenary group attacking the hospital was a high-ranking group. If Shen Jin was still alive, there wouldn't have been any problem, but she was dead and unable to protect her man.

"Shan, get out, please."

"No.", he frowned

"Get out or I will never forgive you"

His heart was heavy as he looked at her smiling ethereal face.

"If there is a next life, I hope I would meet you again, to be able to touch you, to love you.", she said, as she knew that this place was already doomed.

Li Shan shuddered at her words, and a gruesome feeling filled him, he was afraid of parting with her, and shook his head.

"Go, I love you", her voice was bewitching and her eyes seemed pleading.

Li Shan thought about it carefully, she was a ghost after all, so nothing should happen, thus he gritted his teeth and replied:

"I'm coming back, it's a promise.", Li Shan looked at her lovingly and said before allowing the nurse to take him away: "I will definitely come back for you"

As his voice drifted away, Shen Jin faced the window with a blank expression. She was not scared of disappearing, she was already dead after all, what she feared the most was the silence that followed when he left, the wrenching silence that reminded her that she was alone.

"Don't leave me alone.", the pleading and desperate whisper was carried away as the ward disappeared from the world.

That day, the media announced that the Shen Hospital was bombed by international mercenaries, about hundred deaths, 300 injured.

"Mister, are you fine?", a nurse asked Li Shan as he fell unconscious, the last thing he remembered was Shen jin standing by the window, all alone.
