"You packed everything? Axel?" Atlas asks me zipping up his old black backpack. "Yep. Just one suitcase already filled and an old raggedy backpack." I respond to him. Today we finally get to leave the boys home. At least for a little bit. Not many people like fostering teenagers.

I'm playing a game on my astro trying to best my own high score in a game called BattleStar. When Atlas throws a book at me making me drop my astro. "Damn it, I was so close." I mutter angrily. Looking at the book I pick it up and ask Atlas, "What the hell man? Boundaries I know we're twins but what have I told you about bothering me while I'm playing games."

"Do you want me to destroy your astro? Just say another word it'll be done before you know it." He says with a nasty looking grin on his face. I hold my astro close to my chest protecting it from hays evil intentions.

I look away and don't say anything in case his fingers start to itch to hack my astro. I actually look at the book he threw at me and frown. I slowly turn the pages looking at the six years worth of picto's of me, Atlas, and our parents.

Our parents were killed during a beast wave when were only six, leaving me and Atlas on our own. We used to live in a B rank city, we were supposed to be safe from beast waves. The only threat to C rank cities and above are beast tides. Which are a lot bigger and longer than beast waves.

"Do you think we'll be able to stay for longer than three months this time?" I ask Atlas a little vulnerability in my voice. He stops what he's doing and looks at me.

"Yeah, we should be able to last longer than three months. Mr. Simpson said that some rich guy is gonna foster us. Rich people travel a lot, so we'll definitely be staying for more than three months." He replies comforting me.

When we first entered foster care they kept separating us so we would always run away and meet up. A lot of the times we were homeless. When thay realized the only way we would stay in one place was if we were together, they kept putting us in group homes.

We've been at Kairo's home for boys for almost 7 months now. The longest we've ever stayed in one place since we were six. I look around at our small bedroom with a bunk bed, one desk, and a closet big enough for little kids but we manage.

Atlas grabs his things and heads out the door saying, "We should wait in the living room."

I agree with him and grab all of my stuff as well leaving this room for hopefully the last time.

We sit down on the sofa ignoring everyone else dropping our bags by our feet. Our bags draw the attention of the other boys in the room and they all began to whisper.

"I bet they'll be back in a week." One boy says. "Nah, I give it two weeks." Another boy says. "Nope I say two day tops." The first boy says laughing.

We ignore all the whispers about us and wait for Dave or Sharon to take us to our new foster home.

" Well, well, well. If isn't the hallow twins." Kameron says mockingly glaring down at us with his cronies. Hallow is a derogatory term for people without powers. Like me and my twin Atlas. People start awaking their powers between the ages if 11 and 13. There are cases of late bloomers but they are usually very weak.

"You boys won't be gone long and when you return we'll have a gift waiting for you." Seth snickers making a ball of wind appear in his hand. "Oh yeah, we're gonna miss our favorite targets." Matt laughs with his head thrown back and all of the other boys join him.

Tyler, their leader steps forward and summons a fireball in each hand. "Sadly I won't be here when you guys return, so I'll give both of you a parting gift." He laughs with an ugly smirk on his face as he approaches us.

"No use of powers inside." Sharon yells. "You of all people should know better Tyler. Especially since you got accepted into Greyso academy." She says as she glares at Tyler and his group of friends as their magic disappears.

She stops within 5 feet of us and frowns with a look of disgust on her face. "Let's go." Is all she says as she turns around and towards the front door. People without powers are treated like the plague in Legalio.

People with powers believe that if you get close to a hallow they'll somehow make you powerless just like them. Me and my brother share a look then get up from the sofa grabbing our bags and following Sharon to the door.

"Hopefully we'll never have to return to this place again." Atlas mutters rubbing a sore bruise from two days ago from when Kameron threw a mudball at him.

We get in the car and drive 6 hours away to whole another city. We enter Liben city limits and head to the outskirts of the city passing huge houses and mansions.

We pull up to a huge bronze closed gate. Sharon rolls down her window and presses the button on the intercom by the side of the gate. "Sharon Pasely, social worker for Atlas and Axel Healey." Sharon yells at the monitor leaning out of the car window. The intercom buzzes and makes a loud beeping sound. The gate opens and we drive forward.

The road curves as we past by lots of greenery and trees. We drive by a large building that looks like a huge old Victorian house. I share a confused look with Atlas wondering why we didn't pull in to the driveway and instead kept driving but he just shrugs his shoulders.

We drive for about a mile passing several more beautiful large houses but don't pull into any of their driveways. We pass a bend if the curve and both me and Atlas mouth drop open at the enormous castle like mansion. There are three roads leading to different directions towards the huge mansion. We take a right driving for several minutes just staring at the huge house with our mouths agape.

"Wow, this place has got to be bigger than three hallmarts combined." I say out loud astonished at the sight before me.

"No, more like four hallmarts combined." Atlas said. "Sharon, are we really staying here?" He asked.

I lean forward waiting for her answer as we circle around a big fountain stopping before two large dark brown wooden doors. Sharon turns off the car and turns around her seat looking at the both of us with hatred and envy in her eyes.
